Frenchie Haus: A Mumbai Home of Curiosity
A playful, vibrant Mumbai apartment designed for a couple and their two French Bulldogs, where every corner tells a personal story of life and comfort.
This video tour introduces Frenchie Haus, an urban oasis where the couple's personalities dance through every corner. It's a home crafted for creativity, comfort, and their love for their two Frenchies, Luna and Lylo.
The living room at Frenchie Haus features playful, sculptural seating in bold blue and green, set against a calm backdrop of white paneled walls and grey marble floors. It’s a space that is both vibrant and sophisticated.
A key feature of the living room is the 'Decode 260' Morse code wall, which subtly tells the couple's journey. This, along with the sculptural totem shelving unit, adds to the home's character as a 'house of curiosity'.
Our furry clients, Luna and Lylo, enjoying their home. We believe in creating spaces that are beautiful for people and comfortable for their pets, and this image captures that philosophy perfectly.
The master bedroom is a tranquil retreat. We used a bold patterned wallpaper on the curved ceiling and a custom-designed headboard to create a space that feels serene and unique.
The master bathroom is a calm sanctuary, featuring sage green tiles, a marble vanity, and black metal accents. The arched shower door adds a touch of softness to the modern design.
The dining nook is our favorite spot in Frenchie Haus. It’s a cozy corner with a marble-topped table, a comfortable banquette, and a wall of 'I Love Me' plates, creating a space that has a magnetic, inviting pull.
A peek into the sassy powder room at Frenchie Haus. With its bold green wallpaper full of quirky illustrations and a dramatic green marble sink, this space proves that even small rooms can have a big attitude.
Another view of the master bedroom, showcasing the custom stone cabinet and bold patterned curtains. The mix of textures and forms creates a layered and interesting retreat.

About Frenchie Haus: A Home of Curiosity
The heart of this home is the Decode 260 wall, a Morse code installation that maps the couple’s shared history. It is a detail we love because it looks like art but holds a secret that only the homeowners understand.
Frenchie Haus is a lesson in how a home can be both playful and sophisticated. When we approached this Mumbai apartment, the goal was to avoid the sterile look that often plagues modern interiors. We balanced a clean, white background with bold, sculptural furniture like the blue and green cacti sofa, ensuring the room felt vibrant rather than empty.
We worked closely with local craftsmen to create custom pieces that fit the specific dimensions of the living area. The dining nook, featuring a wall of plates, provides a magnetic pull that encourages long, slow meals.
For the bathroom, we stepped away from standard beige. Sage green tiles and a deep, dark sink create a sanctuary that feels like a deliberate pause in the middle of a busy day. Everything here, from the arched shower doors to the pet-friendly layout, was designed for the residents and their two French Bulldogs to live comfortably, not just to look good for visitors.
My approach is what I call transitional. It is never boxed in. It is about taking the calm I learned in Japan and mixing it with the soul of India. Here, we used raw wood and stone, layering them to make the space feel grounded. If you are looking for a home that celebrates your quirks and tells your specific story, let's talk about how we can start that process.
