This is the heart of PB Home—a collection of our most iconic furniture, lighting, and objects. Every design here blends Indian heritage with a modern, soulful touch, crafted to feel like a warm, lived-in embrace.

The Dori Patti chair is a piece of art that you can sit on. We took inspiration from traditional gota-patti threadwork and reimagined it in solid marble, working with our karigars in Rajasthan to carve a story of revival and reminiscence.

The Gradient Bar, a collaboration with Arjunvir Gujral, brings a playful yet glamorous energy to any space. Its unique gradient finish and delicate gold-arched frame create an alluring focal point for entertaining and celebration.

Our LUNA installation is a collaboration with Mother Gone Mad, designed to be a visual centerpiece. The meandering wooden beads represent the phases of the moon, transforming a simple stairwell into a gallery of light and motion.

This view of the Kanso House living room shows how our pieces create a sense of calm and quiet luxury. The neutral sofas, sculptural coffee tables, and curated totems come together to form a space that is both simple and deeply personal.

This is where the magic happens. Watch our skilled karigars in Rajasthan transform a block of raw marble into the intricate, pixelated back of the Dori Patti chair. This is a testament to the hands and hearts that bring our designs to life.

The Shatranj table is where art meets play. Handcrafted from green Indian marble and accented with Banswara marble, it serves as both a functional chess table and a beautiful cultural artifact for your home.

We love adding an element of surprise to our designs. This custom bar at House No. 7 is concealed behind wall paneling, opening up to reveal a vibrant, tropical paradise inspired by Birds of Paradise wallpaper.

Design should tell your story. For Frenchie Haus, we created a custom totem display and a 'Decode' wall featuring 260 elements in Morse code, subtly celebrating the homeowners' personal journey in an artistic way.

About Featured

Every piece here, from our marble-carved Dori Patti chair to our hand-strung LUNA lights, is born from a mix of raw natural materials and deliberate, refined technique. We work directly with our karigars in Rajasthan, letting the inherent grain of the stone or the texture of the wood dictate the final form, ensuring each piece is a tactile, lasting chapter in your home's narrative.

Our Featured collection captures the balance we strive for: furniture that is functional, yet feels like an art installation. When we design, we start with the material—green Indian marble, Banswara white, or reclaimed teak—and look for the story it tells.

For instance, the Dori Patti chair isn't just seating. It reinterprets traditional gota-patti embroidery through the weight and permanence of stone. Similarly, our lighting installations, like the LUNA series, move away from static fixtures. Instead, we use turned wood beads and industrial wire to create pieces that change with the light in your room.

We avoid the perfect polish. You will notice our pieces have honed, matte, or leather finishes. We want you to touch them, use them, and let them age. Whether it is a piece from our Shatranj series or a one-off totem for your console, these objects are designed to be focal points. They are not mass-produced; they are developed in our Mumbai studio, often in collaboration with fellow designers and creators who challenge our process. If you are looking for a statement piece that grounds a room, these designs are where we invite you to begin.

I'm Kumpal. I started Purple Backyard because I wanted homes that felt like a hug, not a showroom. My studio is where we blend global design with the soul of local Indian craft, building pieces that invite you to pause and really live in your space.
