A showcase of our signature work, blending traditional Indian craft with modern architectural precision to create functional art for your home.

This reversible teakwood swing is one of our signature creations, a perfect blend of playful functionality and elegant design. Crafted with a solid wooden base, mauve textured upholstery, and finished with matt gold brass fixtures, it serves as a stunning centerpiece in any luxury living room.

Meet the “Pellet Drum” dining table, a piece inspired by the form of Shiva’s damru. Its base features grooved spheres finished in dual-tone polyurethane, supporting a magnificent Patagonia marble top. Paired with our bent teakwood 'Svelte' chairs, this set makes every meal a statement.

I believe furniture should be art. This unique TV unit is a testament to that philosophy, combining geometric forms like circles, squares, and cylinders in solid teakwood and brass. It’s a functional sculpture that provides storage while being a conversation starter.

A close-up of the “Ananta” center table, showcasing the beauty of Patagonia Brazilian marble with its scenic, crystal-like patterns. The table is supported by a brass base shaped like an infinity symbol, representing timeless design and enduring quality.

These accent chairs are designed for both comfort and style, featuring plush pink upholstery set against a delicate cane backrest. The frame is finished with subtle brass details, making them a perfect addition to a modern, chic living space.

A look inside my workshop, where every thought, or 'soch', takes physical form. This video shows the hands-on process, from cutting raw teak to the final assembly. I manage every step to ensure each piece meets my standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Here I am, sharing the thought process behind my collaboration with House of Edwa at Design Milestone. It was a joy to blend my furniture designs with the traditional Marodi and Repousse craft, creating pieces like this swing that tell a story of heritage and innovation.

About Featured

When you see my work, you are looking at more than just aesthetics. I focus on the structural story, like how my reversible swing mechanism replaces standard chains with solid brass, or how the Damru table base is weighted specifically for heavy Patagonia marble tops. I design for longevity and comfort, ensuring every detail serves a purpose.

The pieces in this collection define the core philosophy at Soch. I started this studio because I wanted to move beyond mass-produced items and create functional objects with a soul. Every design here represents a collaboration between raw material and human thought.

You will see my love for natural stone like Patagonia marble, bent teakwood, and brass inlays. Whether it is the Marodi engraving on metal cladding or the geometric precision of a TV unit, I aim to keep Indian techniques alive by applying them to contemporary furniture.

If you are looking for a living space that feels like a conversation starter rather than a catalogue showroom, we should talk. My process is transparent and highly collaborative. From the first sketch to the final polish, I ensure the finished product fits your daily life and your home's personality.

I am Romit Savla. I started Soch because I wanted furniture that truly blended Indian craft with the clean lines of modern living. My workshop is where we turn these ideas into functional objects, working closely with you until a piece feels like it belongs in your home.
