About Training in Action
Our sessions are built on repetition, not just playing games for fun. If you join the foundation program, expect to spend significant time on footwork drills and stance correction before we focus on complex spins. For our advanced groups, we use manual coach feeding to test your reaction time and consistency. It is demanding, but it is the only way to build the muscle memory required to win points under pressure.
Training Programs at PTKS Connect
We structure our table tennis coaching into two distinct paths to ensure every player gets the right level of challenge.
Foundation Program (3-Month Cycle) Ideal for beginners or those returning to the sport. We focus on the fundamentals: proper shakehand or penhold grip, stance, and basic rallies. You will train 3 days a week in a group setting. Because we have a 3-month mandatory cycle, you get enough time to move past the awkward early stages and actually develop a feel for the ball.
Advanced Competitive Track For players aiming for tournaments, we ramp up the intensity. This is a 6-day-a-week commitment. We move beyond basic drills into multi-ball training, service variation, and match simulations. We also include off-table fitness to improve the agility needed for high-speed play.
Our Facility
We train at Prabodhankar Thackeray Krida Sankul in Vile Parle East. The indoor hall is equipped with ITTF-approved STAG and XIOM tables. We maintain standard synthetic sports flooring, providing a consistent surface for your footwork.
What to Expect
- Drills: Expect repetition. We believe that muscle memory is built through consistency.
- Gear: You must bring your own racquet and non-marking gum sole shoes. We provide the training balls.
- Mentoring: Even in group settings, our coaches assess your progress and help correct your stroke mechanics.
Whether you want to play for fitness or chase a medal, the focus is on steady progress. We do not offer shortcuts, but if you put in the time, your game will improve.
