Dance is a lifetime commitment, not a sprint. Here is a glimpse into the discipline, daily practice, and philosophy that guides every student at Samarpana.

I reminisce here about my performing and learning days in my early 20s. Life revolved around college and going straight to dance class, a time of deep immersion in the art.

I took these photos casually over a year ago. As a teacher, it is important for me to continue my own practice, to explore movement and expression in quiet moments.

Unlock your potential one move at a time. I believe everyone has great potential within them, and dance is a wonderful way to discover and express it.

Building stamina is crucial for a dancer. Even a short gap can make it a struggle. So my advice is always the same: keep dancing, keep practicing, and stay connected to your body.

My students Ankita and Anika sent me this performance of the Guru Ashtakam for Guru Poornima. The bond between a Guru and Sishya is sacred, and such tokens of love are deeply cherished.

Wishing you a Navaratri filled with love and devotion. Here is the first video from our Navaratri series, a small offering from me to mark the beginning of the festival.

About My Journey as a Guru

I don’t believe in cookie-cutter lessons or rushing students through their repertoire. Whether you are an adult rediscovering dance or a child taking your first steps, we work at a pace that respects your personal rhythm. My priority is building stamina and a genuine understanding of the craft, ensuring you feel confident in every movement long before you ever step onto a stage.
