My Approach to Pain-Free Movement and Sustainable Strength
I don't believe in the 'no pain, no gain' mantra. My focus is on understanding your body’s unique mechanics to fix movement patterns, manage pain, and build strength that lasts.
This is my core philosophy in action. Often, the place that hurts is just the symptom, not the cause. We'll work together to find the real source of the issue, like addressing hip mobility to relieve that persistent lower back pain.
If your knees are giving you trouble, we won't just focus on the knee itself. I'll guide you through exercises that build strength and stability from your feet all the way to your hips, creating a solid foundation for pain-free movement.
I integrate different methods to get the best results. Here, you can see how I use classical Pilates on the reformer to complement chiropractic care, helping to strengthen the core and stabilize the spine for long-term health.
Let's clear up some confusion. There's a lot of misinformation out there, and my job is to give you the facts. This is a quick breakdown of common fitness myths I hear, from women getting "bulky" to the truth about carbs.
For anyone stuck at a desk all day, this routine is for you. These are simple, effective movements you can do to counteract the effects of prolonged sitting, helping to correct your posture and relieve back pain.
Details matter. Understanding the small differences between exercises like a Deadlift and a Romanian Deadlift (RDL) is key to targeting the right muscles and avoiding injury. My focus is on teaching you how to move with precision.
We'll work hard, but we'll also have a good laugh. Building a good relationship is part of the process, and sometimes that means catching you when you think I'm not looking.
About this collection
If you’re dealing with nagging aches or just want to move without that constant 'creak,' we start with a structural audit. This isn't just about throwing random exercises at you; it’s about finding why your lower back or knees are acting up in the first place. We identify the compensation patterns—like tight hips or weak ankles—so we can build a rehab roadmap that actually works.
Moving Beyond the Pain
I treat pain as a clue, not a badge of honor. Most of the time, the spot that hurts isn't the real problem; it's just the victim of another joint that stopped doing its job. Whether you're dealing with desk-job back pain or knees that act up when you climb stairs, my goal is to get you back to living your life, not just surviving your workouts.
How We Work
My method relies on a mix of:
- Structural Audits: A mandatory look at your gait, posture, and joint range of motion. We need the data before we decide on the remedy.
- Classical Pilates: Using the Reformer and Wunda Chair, not for 'toning' but for building deep, bulletproof core stability.
- Regression Strength: We don't start by piling on heavy weights. We strip the movement back to basics to ensure you're firing the right muscles, then progress slowly.
- Barefoot Training: Your feet are the foundation. We work on arch strength and sensory feedback because your body needs to feel the ground to support itself properly.
Where to Find Me
You can train with me at Troop HQ in Domlur, or visit the Pilates for Wellbeing studio on Lavelle Road. I also do home visits if your schedule is packed. We will work hard, but we’ll also have a laugh—and if you’re curious about which Bangalore spots have the best dosa, I’ve got opinions on that too. Let’s focus on consistency, fixing your movement, and getting you moving freely again.
