Every dog has a story, from mountain mutts to local indie heroes. Here is a look at the moments I have captured behind the lens.

This is the kind of moment I live for. I was taking adoption photos for this shy little pupper, and by being patient and moving slowly, I was able to capture this look of gentle curiosity. It's this soulful expression that helps a potential family connect and see the beautiful dog waiting for them.

A studio portrait of Penny, a beautiful Indie, showcasing her elegant profile. Using a dramatic, single-light setup against a black backdrop, I highlighted her delicate features and the tiny blep of her tongue, proving that shelter dogs can be the most stunning models.

This is "Boney Heist," a fun concept I created for the CARE 2024 fundraising calendar. By dressing up these shelter dogs in a familiar theme, we grab attention and show their playful side, helping to raise funds and awareness for the shelter in a creative way.

Capturing the playful spirit of a tiny calico kitten as she licks her nose. For these sessions with young animals, I use simple props like this sprig of baby's breath to create a sense of scale and wonder, making their adoption portraits irresistible.

In this video, I explain my fundraising run for Charlie's Animal Rescue Centre (CARE). I believe my work goes beyond just taking photos, it's about active advocacy. This campaign was to support their trauma care unit, which provides critical medical help to hundreds of street animals every month.

A curious sheep herding dog in the Himalayas comes right up to my lens. I love these unscripted moments that show an animal's natural confidence and curiosity. This kind of environmental portrait tells the story of the dog and its life on the move.

Part of a creative calendar series where I photographed baby shelter animals in the style of newborn portraits. This little goat kid, sleeping peacefully on a bed of clouds, helps people see farm animals with the same tenderness we feel for puppies and kittens.

This is Dibs, my foster fail who became a permanent part of my family. This video shows his journey from a shelter dog to a happy, playful companion at home. It’s a personal reminder of the incredible joy that comes from adopting an animal in need.

Before we start a shoot, I always spend time getting on the animal's level. Whether it is a nervous indie or an excited golden retriever, I wait for them to feel safe enough to show their true personality, not just a pose.
