The Athlete's Journey: Powerlifting Discipline in Haridwar
Powerlifting is more than just raw weight. It is the discipline I build every day at Vis Orbit Gym. This is my reality behind the medals.
Strength is built in the dark, through countless hours of work. This physique is a symbol of that dedication.
A moment of focus in the gym. The body achieves what the mind believes.
Another physique shot, capturing the results of consistent training and nutrition.
A more artistic shot showing the muscle and definition built from powerlifting.
A powerful pose showing the upper body strength developed through years of lifting.
A candid moment during a workout, showing the focus required for every set.
My mantra for 2025: "Dukh vi apne, sukh vi apne." The sorrows are mine, and the joys are mine. This is the mindset needed to push through tough training days.
Pain is a sign of change. These calloused and torn hands are a testament to the hard work I put in. If it doesn't hurt, you're not changing.
A transformation from a traditional look to my powerful gym persona. Strength has many forms.
A quick selfie check-in at the gym. Documenting the process is part of staying motivated.
About The Athlete's Journey
People often ask why I document my training, the fatigue, and even the torn calluses on my hands. It is not for show. It is a reminder that if you are not hurting, you are not changing. This is how I stay accountable to myself and my students, and it is the same level of commitment I expect from anyone who joins my training program.
Building strength is not a linear path. There are days in the gym at Shivalik Nagar when I feel drained, and the motivation just isn't there. My mantra, 'dukh vi apne, sukh vi apne' (sorrows and joys are ours), keeps me going. It reminds me that the pain of a heavy squat set and the joy of a new PR both belong to me.
My students often struggle with this mental block. They want to quit when the weight gets heavy or life gets complicated. I teach them that powerlifting is a practice of mental toughness as much as physical output. Whether we are working on a 1-on-1 competition prep cycle or small group training, I push them to look past the immediate discomfort and stay focused on the form.
I am not just training bodies; I am building athletes who respect the process. My Guru ji, Ashish Bhandari, taught me that a 'shishya' (student) must hold their head high but stay grounded. This bond is what I bring to the Vis Orbit family. We are not just lifting iron; we are growing as a team. If you are looking for a coach who will spot you through the failures and celebrate the wins with you, you are in the right place.
