Behind the Scenes: Hand-Painted Art and Typography

From the first chalk outline to the final stroke, every piece is created by hand. See the patience and technique behind my work.

The very first step: outlining the letters with a brush. This video shows the steady hand and precision required for my typography work before any color is added.

A black and white video showing the inking process for the "Psychic Death" lettering. This highlights the detailed linework and calligraphic skill.

The completed line art for "Psychic Death," ready for color. The design features a sword piercing through the letters, adding a graphic element.

A close-up of the line art for the word "Resist," showing the clean, decorative swirls and consistent thickness of the hand-drawn letters.

This is the initial stage of a custom sign, where I carefully paint the white base of the letters over a pencil sketch.

The base lettering for "Full Time Enjoying 2015" is complete. This clean white foundation is what makes the final colors so vibrant.

About this collection

Every mural and sign begins with a direct hand-sketched chalk outline, allowing us to adjust the composition perfectly to your wall. Once the layout is set, I build the depth using high-quality oil-based enamel paints, applying each layer manually. Because I do not use computers or stencils, every piece has a unique finish with visible brushwork that creates a vibrant, soulful look.

The secret to my work is in the patience of the process. I do not rely on digital projectors or vinyl stickers. Whether it is complex Urdu calligraphy, Devanagari lettering, or a large-scale commercial mural, the entire design is drawn by hand. This allows the art to breathe with the architecture of your home or business.

For my 3D lettering work, I use a layering technique where each color block is applied to create perspective, finished with precise drop shadows and highlights. I use oil-based synthetic enamel paints because they are weather-resistant and provide a rich, glossy finish that survives the Delhi sun for years. If you are looking for that authentic 'truck art' vibrancy or a vintage movie poster feel, this manual labor ensures a standard of quality that digital printing simply cannot replicate. From my studio in Bazar Matia Mahal, I carry these traditions forward, whether I am working on a community project or a bespoke home sign. By the grace of Allah and Parmeshwar, I ensure every stroke serves the design.
