Ever wonder how your art goes from a blank page to a finished piece? I love documenting the slow, mindful journey behind every illustration I create.

A quiet afternoon spent painting on my balcony with my cat for company. This video shows the process of creating a large, intricate tree of life on a wooden canvas.

From a simple pencil sketch to a fully colored digital illustration. This video shows the making of the owl from my 'Wild & Blooming' series, a project that is very close to my heart.

The final owl illustration, surrounded by vibrant flowers and leaves. I love creating these detailed, nature-inspired digital art pieces.

A close-up on the details of the owl's feathers and the surrounding tulips. I spend a lot of time on the texture and color to make the image feel rich and alive.

A detail shot of the foliage from my 'Wild & Blooming' owl illustration. The contrast between the purple leaves and the mint-green flowers is one of my favorite parts.

This video shows the entire sketching process for a painting, from the initial concept sketch to the final detailed line art on the canvas. This is the foundation before any paint is applied.

A look at some of my ink drawings on oval canvases. This was for a 'Barbienheimer' theme, where I explored a gothic art style with intricate line work.

The first page of my new black paper sketchbook. I'm using pastel gel pens to create surreal illustrations, like this one about love and connection.

I love to combine my passions for art and food. This video shows me sketching our delicious breakfast at a cafe, documenting the meal in my sketchbook.

Doodling my food adventures in Japan. This video shows me sketching some of the amazing street food I tried in Osaka, like takoyaki and bento boxes.

About Behind the Art: Sketches & Timelapses

When I start a new piece, I don't just jump to the finish. I spend hours on the initial concept sketches and underpainting—sometimes days just mapping out the flow of fur for a pet portrait or the embroidery details on a bridal outfit. This slow, 100% manual approach is non-negotiable for me because that is where the soul of the art really lives.
