About Our Wonderful Community
We don't do rigid classrooms here. We run our sessions in a cozy, naturally ventilated library space we call 'The Green Pocket,' where shoes come off, socks stay on, and children settle onto cotton rugs to turn simple books into full-blown adventures.
At Ourstoryshelf, we define our community by the messy hands and big laughs that fill our space after every session. We see storytelling as a collaborative experience rather than a performance. When we pick a book—whether it is a quiet tale or a rowdy adventure—we pair it with a hands-on activity that lets children process the story through creation.
Our workshops are designed specifically for kids aged 3 and up. By moving away from standard classroom routines, we let children explore life lessons like friendship and patience through interactive narration, props, and sensory play. Because we limit our batch sizes to 10–20 children, every participant gets the space to speak up, ask silly questions, or just get fully absorbed in their painting and crafting.
Parents often ask us if this is just a reading club. It is not. It is a sensory experience. Depending on the theme, you might find your child knee-deep in mud during an outdoor session, using Japanese Kamishibai boxes, or crafting puppets. We believe that when kids connect in a warm, unhurried environment in Rustam Bagh, they do not just consume stories—they learn to build them.
