About Story Time in Nature
Unlike static reading circles, we turn every tale into an interactive adventure. When we tell a story about a forest creature, we don't just read about it; we head out on a guided walk to spot evidence of them in the park, magnifying glass in hand. These sessions are designed to engage children through movement and discovery, meaning you might leave with mud on your shoes, a new bird fact, and a child who is suddenly fascinated by the world outside.
More Than Just a Story
At Green Panther, we believe that when you tell a story, a child's imagination does the heavy lifting, not the pictures on a page. Our 'Story Time in Nature' sessions in Bengaluru are crafted to bridge the gap between literature and the wild.
What to expect at our sessions:
- Immersive Narratives: We use the park as our stage. Whether it is Cubbon Park or a local green space, the rustling leaves and birdsong become the background music for our tales.
- Interactive Exploration: Every story is paired with a specific activity. If the story is about butterflies, we search for chrysalis or practice our 'flutter' walks. If it is about bugs, we bring out our bug jars and spotting scopes.
- Small Group Focus: We intentionally keep our groups intimate. This ensures that every child, whether they are a shy observer or a boisterous explorer, gets the chance to participate, ask questions, and be heard by our lead naturalists.
- Parent-Child Connection: These are not drop-off events. We encourage parents to get just as muddy as the kids. It is a shared experience that gives you a moment to slow down and connect with your child away from the city buzz.
A Note on Practicalities: We provide all the props, picnic mats, and activity supplies. You just need to bring comfortable clothes, a water bottle, and a sense of curiosity.
