Featured Highlights: Playful Learning at Openhouse
A quick look at the heart of our program—where messy play, curious minds, and real connection come together to help your child grow.
Welcome to our Parent-Toddler Club. This is where you and your little one can unplug from the world and plug into play. We use everything from colorful parachutes to music and movement to create moments of connection and discovery, helping your child build confidence and social skills in a warm, playful space.
I believe learning happens everywhere, especially in the kitchen. Here, children get to make their own chapatis, from kneading the dough to watching it puff up on the pan. This hands-on food exploration teaches them about cause and effect, develops fine motor skills, and builds a proud sense of independence.
Who said saving the day can't be messy? In our firefighter pretend play, children use water sprayers to put out "flames" made of colorful shaving foam. This imaginative activity builds fine motor control and an understanding of community helpers, all while having a whole lot of bubbly fun.
We don't just read stories; we live them. After reading "We're Going on a Bear Hunt," we embarked on our own sensory trail adventure. This is how I bring books to life, turning reading into an active, memorable experience that sparks imagination and a love for stories.
This is the pure, unfiltered joy I aim to create every day. Through music, movement, and shared laughter, children feel free to express themselves. These moments are just as important for parents, offering a chance to see your child light up and connect with them in a special way.
We celebrate our roots and the beautiful diversity of our community. During Kannada Rajyotsava, we explored the culture of Karnataka through art, dance, and language, even learning to write our names in Kannada. It’s about planting the seeds of cultural identity and respect in a joyful, inclusive way.
Hear directly from one of the parents in our community. For many working parents, our club is a special weekly ritual to bond with their child, socialize with other kids, and connect with fellow moms and dads. It's a place to find your tribe and watch your child blossom.
We love a good theme. Our special playdates, like this kid's Halloween event, are a chance for the whole family to get creative and celebrate together. From monster art to glow-in-the-dark sensory play, we make every occasion a joyful and memorable experience.
About Featured
We do not believe in keeping toddlers stuck behind desks. Whether it is kneading dough for chapatis to build fine motor skills or using spray bottles to 'extinguish' colorful foam fires, every session is designed to get hands messy and minds moving. This is where your child learns cause and effect, builds confidence, and starts making sense of the world, all while having a blast.
Why Messy Play Matters
At Openhouse, we believe that 'messy' is just another word for 'learning'. When a child squishes dough, splashes water, or dives into a ball pit, they are not just playing; they are building crucial neural connections. These activities develop fine motor skills, strengthen hand-eye coordination, and foster early cognitive growth in a way that static learning simply cannot.
What Happens in a Session?
Every session at our centers—whether in Sarjapur, Whitefield, Jayanagar, or our Kolkata locations—is built on our 'provocation' method.
- Sensory Exploration: From sterilized mud and colored shaving foam to water tubs, we provide safe, tactile experiences that encourage genuine curiosity.
- Imaginative Play: We turn stories like 'We’re Going on a Bear Hunt' into real-world trails, and kitchen tasks into hands-on cooking workshops.
- Cultural Connection: We weave in regional roots through songs like 'Chandamama Raave' and local festival celebrations, helping children build an early sense of identity and belonging.
