Joyful Play-Based Learning and Creative Workshops
We believe learning happens through play, not pressure. Dive into our favourite moments where messy hands lead to big smiles and happy, confident little learners.
This is what pure joy looks like. In my workshops, I encourage kids to dive right in, and this shaving foam art session is a perfect example. It's a fantastic sensory activity that lets children explore textures and get creative without any rules, all while developing their tactile perception.
Celebrating Holi with a splash of nature. My 'Phoolon wali Holi' is a unique, child-safe event where we use colourful flower petals instead of synthetic colours. It’s a beautiful sensory experience that connects children to nature and our traditions in the most gentle and joyful way.
A glimpse into our sensory play stations, designed to spark curiosity and support early development. Children get to explore everything from the squishy texture of water beads and kinetic sand to the challenge of scooping and transferring pom-poms, which helps refine their fine motor skills and concentration.
We turned a simple cardboard box into a magical school bus. This group project shows how we use upcycled materials to spark imagination and teamwork. The children were involved in every step, from painting the bus yellow to adding the wheels and finally seeing it light up.
Learning isn't confined to four walls. Our field trip to the local aquarium was an unforgettable adventure where children could see marine life up close. These real-world experiences are vital for making learning tangible and exciting, from touching a starfish to watching the fish swim by.
Who knew peeling an orange could be such a great learning activity? This simple task is wonderful for strengthening little fingers and developing fine motor skills. Afterwards, we used the peels and leaves to create beautiful nature-inspired art, teaching resourcefulness and creativity.
A whirlwind of fun from one of my holiday camps. This video captures the variety of activities I offer, including parachute games that teach cooperation, a ball pit for gross motor fun, and messy art sessions. It all ends with a happy group photo, a perfect memento of our time together.
About this collection
This collection highlights my favourite part of the job: watching children dive into messy sensory play. Whether it is shaving foam art or a group cardboard bus project, these sessions are designed to build fine motor skills and confidence in a safe, social environment where being messy is exactly the point.
At Mums n Munchkins, my goal is simple: let kids be kids. I don't run drills or expect perfection. Instead, I create environments where learning sneaks in through the fun stuff.
Why Play-Based Learning Matters
Every activity in this gallery, from our 'Phoolon wali Holi' to our science experiments, is curated for holistic development. When your little one plays with water beads or paints with ice, they are developing sensory perception, refining their motor skills, and learning social cues. It is not just about the final craft; it is about the concentration and joy they find in the process.
Our Creative Spaces in Bangalore
I host these workshops at partner studios in Central Bangalore, including venues near Lavelle Road and St. Marks Road. We keep batches small, usually 10 to 15 kids, so I can ensure every child gets the attention they need. We split batches by age, typically for children aged 1 to 6 years, ensuring the activities match their developmental stage—whether they are toddlers exploring textures or preschoolers working on collaborative art.
A Community of 'Munchkins'
We are all about that #mompreneur life—sometimes we are running on coffee and silly stories, but we are always here to help your child dream big. My programs range from single-session festive parties to our comprehensive summer camp modules, all materials provided. If you are looking for a space where your child feels at home while learning something new, you are in the right place.
Mums n Munchkins
I am the face behind the messy art and the coffee runs. I focus on making learning feel like a natural adventure for your little one, whether we are painting with ice or putting together a cardboard bus.
