Turning your favourite photograph into a lasting piece of art. Whether you prefer the texture of stippling or the expressiveness of mixed media, I bring your memories to life on paper.

This is my dot art technique, where I use a single black pen to create a portrait with thousands of dots. It's a highly detailed and time-intensive style, shown here with a portrait of Robert Downey Jr.

A look at my contemporary sketch style. I use pencil and a watercolor wash to create a raw, expressive portrait, like this piece inspired by the "Ram Ram Sariya Ne" trend.

About Intricate Pen & Sketch Portraits

For my dot art portraits, I use a stippling technique with archival-quality pigment ink. It is a slow, meditative process where I build the entire image using thousands of individual dots on heavyweight Bristol paper, creating a high-contrast piece that really stands out from standard sketches.

I offer two distinct ways to capture a face on paper, each requiring a different approach and level of patience.

Mixed Media Sketches

This is my go-to for a raw, artistic feel. I combine charcoal shading for the facial features with a loose watercolor wash in the background to add depth. These are perfect for a quick, impactful gift. I frame these in synthetic wood, and they are usually ready for you in 3 to 5 days.

Stippling Dot Art

This is my most detailed work. There are no lines, only thousands of ink dots that determine the light and shadow on the subject's face. Because of the density required to get the details right, this takes 10 to 14 days to produce. The result is a timeless, monochromatic portrait that feels more like a sculpture than a drawing. It is created on premium, smooth-finish Bristol paper.

The Process

It starts with you sending me a good, clear photograph. I work from my studio in Bhayandar West, Mumbai, ensuring every piece has my full attention. Whether you are looking for a birthday surprise or a heartfelt tribute, I focus on capturing the soul of the subject, not just the features. Apni kala se main dil se jodta hoon (I connect from the heart through my art). Once the artwork is ready, I use matte fixative to protect it from smudging before it heads your way.

I am Omprakash, a Mumbai-based artist. I believe portraits should tell a story, which is why I put so much care into every line and dot I draw. When you commission a piece from me, you are not just getting a drawing, you are getting a memory I have spent days crafting.
