Custom Hand-Drawn Portraits: Charcoal, Scribble & Pen Art
I explore different textures—from the deep shadows of charcoal to the energetic lines of scribble art—to create portraits that feel personal and alive.

About A Showcase of Styles: From Classic to Modern
I start every portrait by understanding the emotion you want to capture, whether it's a calm charcoal finish or a vibrant scribble sketch. If you choose my scribble art, I layer chaotic lines to build deep texture and energy, while my ballpoint pen work allows for intricate, sharp details that catch the eye immediately.
Choosing the right medium can change how a memory feels. My process is built around matching the right style to your story.
Charcoal and Graphite
These are my go-to for memorial portraits or when you want something timeless and soulful. The deep blacks and soft gradients of charcoal allow me to focus on realism and the subtle expressions in the eyes. I use professional-grade charcoal powder to ensure the shading feels smooth and natural.
Scribble Art
If you are looking for something modern, energetic, and eye-catching, this is the way to go. I build these portraits through layers of seemingly chaotic lines. It is a technique that creates incredible depth and movement, making the subject feel like they are about to step off the paper. It is perfect for gifts or vibrant living room art.
Ballpoint Pen Art
This is for the details. Whether it's a blue or red ink piece, the ballpoint pen allows me to capture sharp precision that pencil sometimes misses. The color adds a distinct, striking dimension to the drawing, making it a unique conversation piece for your home.
My Process
Every project starts with a reference check to ensure I have the clarity needed to get the features right. For commissioned work, I share progress updates so we are aligned before I apply the final shading or fixative spray. My A4 and A3 portraits are framed in synthetic wood with protective glass, ready to be hung the moment they reach you.
Ravish Harikantra
I’m Ravish, a self-taught artist from Ankola. I believe art is about feelings, so I don't just copy a photo—I try to bring the person's 'mugdha nagu' (innocent smile) into the frame. Whether you want a timeless charcoal piece or something modern, I put my soul into every sketch.
