I use Brustro graphite pencils to capture the depth and emotion of your photos in classic black and white, preserving your favourite moments on paper.
A classic black and white couple portrait for a client from my hometown, Banswara. I focused on the intricate patterns of their traditional wear using Brustro fine art graphic pencils.
This A3 size graphite pencil sketch was a commission for a couple from TamilNadu. I paid special attention to the fine details in the saree and the joyful expressions.
A happy couple from Kerala, captured in a timeless black and white pencil sketch. The A3 size gives enough space to bring out the realistic textures and emotions.
This A4 size couple sketch for a client in West Bengal shows how even a smaller portrait can hold so much detail and love. I used my favorite Brustro graphic pencils for this.
A solo portrait for a client from Mumbai, drawn on A4 Brustro paper. I really enjoyed working on the detailed patterns of the scarf, which adds so much character to the sketch.
This is a pencil sketch of actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu that I did for practice. It took about 18 hours to get the likeness and the intense expression right on Brustro ultra-smooth paper.
A practice sketch of actress Kalyani Priyadarshan. I spent around 8 hours on this A4 portrait, focusing on achieving a hyper-realistic look with graphite pencils.
This large A2 size hyper-realistic pencil sketch was for a client in Lucknow. I worked hard to capture the texture of her printed suit and her warm, welcoming smile.
A commissioned black and white pencil portrait for a client from Raipur. I focused on capturing her kind eyes and the detailed jewellery she was wearing.
This was a large A2 commission work from Maharashtra, which took me over 30 hours to complete. I used Brustro fine art graphic pencils to create a highly realistic and detailed portrait.
About Classic Black & White Portraits
Every sketch I create goes through a protective fixative spray process right in my studio. This keeps the graphite safe from smudging during shipping and ensures the deep blacks and subtle shading of your portrait remain fresh and crisp for years on your wall.
The Art of Graphite
There is something about a black and white sketch that brings out raw emotion. Unlike colour work, graphite depends entirely on contrast, shading, and texture. I spend between 15 to 50 hours on a single piece, layering shades to get those deep blacks in the hair or the soft, realistic skin tones.
My Process
It starts with your reference photo. Whether it is a solo portrait or a couple, I focus on the details—the expression in the eyes, the jewellery, or the texture of the fabric. I primarily use Brustro fine art paper (200 GSM) because it holds the graphite well without losing texture. I take my time with every layer, ensuring the likeness is perfect before I call it finished.
How I Send It
Shipping art can be risky, so I don't take chances. Once I finish a piece and apply the fixative, I wrap it in butter paper and secure it inside a rigid, hard PVC pipe. This ensures it reaches you anywhere in India without a single fold or crease.
A Quick Note on Trust
Please be careful. There are people trying to use my name for fraud. I only operate through this account and talk directly to you about orders. If you have any questions about custom sizing or merging photos from different albums, just message me. I am always happy to discuss how we can turn your favourite moment into art.
