Travel and Exploration: Training and Coffee Adventures
I travel to learn. Whether I am hunting down specialty coffee in Vietnam or finding a training spot in the mountains of Ladakh, every trip adds to how I coach and live. Here is a look at what I have picked up along the way.
Proving the 'train anywhere' philosophy at 12,500 feet in Ladakh. After a long bike ride, I'm doing Bulgarian split squats and push-ups to stay active. My retreats teach you how to use your environment for an effective workout.
An improvised workout in Himachal. Using a tree branch for pull-ups is a perfect example of my 'train anywhere' approach. You don't need a gym to stay strong and fit.
Exploring the specialty coffee scene in Vietnam. Tasting different coffees and experiencing other cultures helps me bring a global perspective to my own coffee farming and brewing practices in Coorg.
Visiting a popular coffee shop in Bali. I'm always learning about different brewing methods and cafe cultures around the world. These experiences enrich my own understanding and passion for specialty coffee.
Exploring the coffee culture in Phuket's old town. Every place has a different story to tell through its coffee. These travels are a constant source of learning and inspiration for me as a planter.
About this collection
I treat travel like an extension of my daily grind, always looking for a new coffee bean to cup or a rugged spot to train. If you are wondering how to keep your discipline while exploring, or just want to know where to find the best local brew, reach out. I share what works, not what looks good on social media.
My travel is not a vacation. It is research. When I am in Ladakh, I am mapping out how to do pull-ups using tree branches in Himachal or testing core stability at 12,500 feet. The goal is to prove that fitness is portable. You do not need a fancy gym to get the work done.
Simultaneously, my time in places like Vietnam or Bali is spent deep in coffee culture. I talk to farmers and roasters to understand the grind that goes into every single cup. By the time I am back at my estate in Manchalli, I have a suitcase full of new brewing techniques and training ideas.
If you are looking for a retreat that combines hard work with a change of scenery, or just want to swap notes on how to stay disciplined when you are far from home, drop me a message. I am always happy to discuss how to integrate your fitness and lifestyle goals into your own travels.
