Behind the Scenes: Making of Toned Abs
People see the polished final edits, but the real work happens in the mud of my estate. This is how we turn the Brahmagiri hills into a training ground.
A mandatory photo with the incredible team behind my 'Toned Abs' series for Cult. This is the talented crew that makes it all happen, and I'm full of gratitude for their hard work and teamwork.
Here's a look at the filming process. Even in the rain, the team is dedicated, with a cameraman capturing the shot while another holds a colorful umbrella. It shows the reality of shooting outdoors in Coorg.
The team in action during a rainy shoot. We adapt to the weather and keep going. This is a testament to the crew's professionalism and dedication to getting the job done, no matter the conditions.
An early morning shot during the filming of my Toned Abs program. It takes a whole team working behind the scenes to capture these moments and create the final sessions for everyone at home.
Discussing the next shot with the director and crew on location. Collaboration is key to making these fitness programs come to life, and I enjoy every bit of the creative process with this team.
A quick behind the scenes look at the locations and moments from filming Season 3 of Toned Abs. From workouts by the river to my dog supervising the set, this captures the spirit of the shoot.
Sharing a laugh with a crew member between takes. I'm forever grateful to work with such a talented and hardworking team that brings my fitness series to life.
About this collection
It looks clean on screen, but there is nothing glamorous about shooting in the middle of a Coorg monsoon. We haul gear through thick mud, deal with shifting weather, and often rely on natural light while trying to keep camera equipment dry. This is the reality of bringing the gym to the outdoors.
It takes a solid crew to turn a working coffee plantation into a production set. We do not have studio lights or climate-controlled environments. Instead, we have variable weather, uneven ground, and the occasional curious dog watching us work.
My team understands that I do not do staged perfection. They know that if it starts raining, we do not pack up; we adjust the shot. This adaptability is what keeps the Toned Abs series feeling honest. We prioritize movement that fits the environment. Whether it is kettlebell sessions by the river or functional strength training on the estate trails, the setting dictates the intensity.
You are not watching a rehearsed workout; you are watching a process where effort meets nature. This is not about looking good for the lens. It is about proving that fitness belongs in the wild, not just in a gym. When you see the final program, know that it was built on dirt, sweat, and a lot of patience from the people holding the cameras.

I am Niran. I split my time between coffee plants and kettlebells here in Coorg. When I am not coaching, I am usually on a trail, getting my hands dirty or figuring out how to make fitness as raw as the nature around us.
