Manchalli Life: Where Coffee Meets Fitness
I grew up juggling coffee plants and kettlebells in Coorg. This is a look into my world, where the grind is real, the coffee is fresh, and the fitness is functional.
This is the vibe at Manchalli. It's about aligning with what matters, putting in the work, and soaking in the rewards, like a Coorg sunset over the Brahmagiri mountains after a long day on the estate.
This is what hands-on looks like. I'm sitting on a fresh pile of our Robusta coffee beans as they begin the drying process, a critical step in developing their flavor. You can see the hard work happening right here, with the mountains as our constant backdrop.
The perfect end to a day on the plantation. Here, I'm sharing a freshly brewed cup of our single estate Robusta with guests as we take a sunset walk. This is what my ecotourism experience is all about: sharing the process and the product.
Welcome back to Coorg for my Toned Abs fitness series. This is more than a workout; it's a journey into functional strength training using dumbbells, right here in nature. We focus on building a strong mindset and body, no matter where you are.
Here’s a look at the real grind of coffee farming. This is us setting up irrigation pipes and sprinklers, a crucial job to trigger the flowering of the coffee plants. It's hours of tough, functional work that leads to the coffee in your cup 10 months later.
Finding a moment of peace with my dog under a tree on the estate. This is 'Shinrin Yoku' or forest healing in practice. It's about simplifying and connecting with nature, a core part of the reset I offer here.
A walk through the heart of the plantation. You can see the healthy, green Robusta coffee cherries that are still months away from harvest. This is where the journey of your coffee begins, surrounded by the lushness of the Western Ghats.
About this collection
My approach to fitness is not about fancy gym machines, but about building a body that can handle a full day of planting or a mountain trek. You get the raw picture here: the manual work of Robusta cultivation paired with the functional training routines that keep me moving.
I believe in showing up, whether it is for a kettlebell session in the rain or managing the irrigation lines on the Manchalli estate. This is not just a gallery; it is a timeline of how I integrate my life as a farmer and an athlete.
The Manchalli Way
Living in the Brahmagiri mountains means my 'gym' changes daily. Sometimes it is the drying yard where we process Robusta coffee, and other times it is a local waterfall where I train. My fitness coaching is based on this lifestyle. We do not use shortcuts. We focus on:
- Functional Strength: Training movements that apply to real life, like lifting, hiking, and carrying.
- Soil to Cup Education: Understanding the 10-month cycle of coffee, from blossom shower irrigation to the final micro-lot brew.
- Nature as Recovery: Using the estate trails and the forest for mental clarity. We call it Shinrin Yoku, or forest healing.
Why Train With Me?
Most fitness programs are detached from your actual environment. I teach you how to stay fit regardless of where you are. When you join me on a retreat, you are not just exercising. You are seeing the reality of coffee farming, eating home-cooked Coorgi meals, and resetting your routine. You get the good, the rough, and the sweat equity that makes it all worth it.
