About My Journey & Expertise
I started my career as a Zumba instructor and now hold a PhD in Nutrition, which shapes how I view wellness—it is never just about the food on your plate. My approach combines clinical rigor for conditions like PCOS and diabetes with the flexibility of sustainable lifestyle changes. I don't believe in quick fixes; I believe in equipping you with the tools to eat right, whether you are managing a medical condition or simply aiming to feel more energetic.
My path to nutrition wasn't a straight line. After completing my BSc, MSc, and PhD in Food Science and Nutrition at Mount Carmel College, I realized that true health is rarely found in restrictive charts. It is built in the kitchen, during travel, and through small, consistent habits.
Why My Approach is Different
- Science meets Reality: I use my academic background to analyze your bloodwork, but my recommendations are always based on the ingredients already in your Indian pantry—like millets, Kapli wheat, and local vegetables.
- Hormonal & Clinical Care: I specialize in working with clients navigating PCOS, thyroid disorders, and Type 2 diabetes. This involves a deep dive into metabolic health, medication timing, and lifestyle factors like cortisol and sleep management.
- Beyond the Weighing Scale: I focus on 'inch loss' and energy levels, not just the numbers on a scale. My 3-month and 6-month programs are designed for sustainable, long-term habit formation.
Recognition & Philosophy
I am proud to be a Fit India Ambassador and have been recognized by the Indian Dietetic Association for my work in creating nutritionally balanced Indian recipes. Whether I am speaking at a conference or sharing a quick recipe on the radio, my message remains the same: Indian food is not the enemy. It is about the balance you bring to it. If you are looking for someone to help you navigate your health goals without giving up the joy of eating, you are in the right place.
