Traditional Indian Paintings
I explore and reinterpret traditional Indian folk art like Gond, Madhubani, and Pichwai, bringing vibrant stories of nature and mythology to life in every piece.
This video shows close-up details of the custom Gond art project I did. You can see the intricate patterns, the vibrant colors, and the delicate embroidery work my mom added to each piece.

A little behind-the-scenes look at the Gond art project. Here, I was planning the embroidery with my mom, laying out the threads to match the colors in each painting.

About this collection
I treat every painting as a way to unwind, often experimenting with textures by blending traditional painting with my mom's embroidery. You will notice my work often skips realistic human faces to focus entirely on the vibrant, intricate patterns of folk art styles like Gond and Madhubani, which I apply to everything from paper to glass.
My art is my therapy, and I love creating pieces that feel bright and alive. When you look at my collection, you are seeing a mix of deep-rooted traditions and my own modern experimentation. I regularly work with Gond, Madhubani, and Pichwai styles, adapting them to different surfaces.
My Approach to Traditional Art
- Surface Experimentation: I don't stick to just canvas or paper. I love the challenge of painting on glass, as seen in my 'Moo Project' series, where I used traditional motifs to create stained-glass effects.
- The 'No Face' Policy: I have a clear boundary here—I do not draw human faces. I prefer to let the animals, plants, and geometric patterns tell the story.
- Collaborative Texture: For some of my larger custom Gond projects, I collaborate with my mom, who is a fashion designer. She adds intricate embroidery and thread work to my paintings, giving them a tactile, layered feel you won't find in standard wall art.
Custom Commissions
Most of my work is made to order. Whether you want a specific Madhubani 'Tree of Life' for your living room or a series of Pichwai-style paintings, I can help. I ship my art globally, from Bengaluru to the United States and Germany. Every custom piece goes through a digital layout approval process, so you know exactly what the final painting will look like before I pick up the brush.
