About The Journey Through Belts
Earning your next belt is about consistent practice and mastering the official TFI syllabus, not just showing up to class. Every grading exam tests your focus, technical precision, and sparring stamina, ensuring that when you step onto the mat for your test, you are fully prepared to demonstrate the progress you have made.
The Path to Advancement
Progression at Taureaux Taekwondo Academy follows a clear, disciplined structure. We adhere strictly to the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) syllabus, which ensures that every student builds a solid foundation before moving to the next level. Whether you are a beginner starting at white belt or an athlete aiming for higher color belts, the journey requires patience and regular attendance.
What Grading Exams Test
Grading is not merely a formality; it is an assessment of your growth. During these sessions, we evaluate:
- Basics: Precision in stances, blocks, and strikes (Jireugi/Makgi).
- Patterns (Poomsae): Memorization, balance, and the fluidity of movement.
- Sparring Proficiency: Controlled application of techniques learned in class.
- Discipline: Your respect for the art and your peers.
Why Structure Matters
As a National Examiner, I emphasize that the color of your belt signifies your level of commitment. Students train 3 days a week in our foundation batches, with intensive 5 to 6-day regimens available for those targeting state or national competitions. This consistency is what makes the difference when you face the grading panel.
Our training centers in JP Nagar (Skalvi International School) and Basavanagudi (Mahila Mandali) are equipped with standard safety mats to provide a secure environment for testing your limits. Please note that grading exams are held periodically throughout the year, and application fees are separate from your monthly training costs. We invite you to join our next cycle and take the first step in your martial arts journey.
