Access & Seating
- Entry: Admission to one specific scheduled event (Comedy, Poetry, or Unplugged Music).
- Seating: First-come-first-served basis using standard wooden cafe chairs or auxiliary metal folding chairs.
- View: Intimate setting with seating located 5 to 15 feet from the performance area.
Pricing Models
- Ticketed Events (Comedy): Fee covers entry only. Food and beverage are charged separately.
- Cover Charge Events (Music/Poetry): Fee is typically fully redeemable against the cafe menu (Wine, Coffee, Continental food).
Experience
- Duration: Valid for the full show runtime (typically 90 to 150 minutes).
- Interaction: Includes access to post-show informal artist meet-and-greet in the cafe space.

- Allocation: Strictly limited to a 10-minute performance window.
- Eligibility: Valid for 'SoulStage' (Mixed Open Mic) or designated segments during 'Tuesdays with the Bard'.
Technical Setup
- Audio: Access to house PA system, 1 wired vocal microphone with stand, and 1 instrument line-in.
- Limitations: No drum kits, backline amplifiers, or full sound rehearsals provided. Quick line-check only.
Facilities & Exposure
- Amenities: No green room; performers wait in the general audience area.
- Branding: Performance opportunity under the Urban Solace banner with potential for feature in venue social media stories.

- Zone: Exclusive or semi-exclusive use of the performance section.
- Capacity: Accommodates 30-50 guests in a tight theatre or workshop layout.
- Furniture: Flexible arrangement of existing cafe tables and chairs.

- Audio: House PA system with 2 active speakers, 2 microphones on stands, and an 8-channel mixer.
- Visual: Ceiling-mounted HDMI projector and pull-down white screen.
Support Services
- Marketing: Event listed on Urban Solace social channels; space provided for physical easel posters at entrance.
- Staff: Includes one sound coordinator for setup and service staff for F&B.
- Commercials: Generally operates on a Minimum Spend Guarantee model (fee is redeemable against guest food and drink orders).

Why We Exist
At Urban Solace, I wanted a place where art isn't just background noise. For 15+ years, our little corner in Bangalore has been about giving every kind of creative soul a spot to shine. People don't just visit, they feel right at home - whether they're on stage or in the crowd.
What Happens Here
- Every week has its rhythm:
- Tuesdays, the mic is open for poets and spoken word artists. Sometimes, you’ll catch a mix of poetry, music, maybe even a bit of Kathak if someone’s feeling bold.
- Wednesdays, we go all in on laughs with LOL @ Urban Solace - which, by the way, kicked off the whole comedy stage Bangalore scene.
- Fridays, it’s pure music. Unplugged. Just voices, guitars, and that raw vibe you only get at an acoustic music venue Bangalore knows and loves.
- Alternate Thursdays, SoulStage is a mad mix - musicians, poets, beatboxers, whatever. All you need is ten minutes and the guts to grab the mic.

My Story
15 years back, Urban Solace was just a wild dream—now, it’s kinda like a second home for so many. We built this spot in Bangalore for artists, poets, comedians, thinkers, bookworms—basically, anyone who needs a place to be real. Our Tuesdays with the Bard poetry thing, it’s legendary, but honestly? The best bits are the nervous poets, the crazy laughter, the quiet book chats. This place has a soul ‘cause of you all.
