About Our Community: Performers & Patrons
Every artist who takes our stage leaves a mark, quite literally—they sign the event poster, which becomes a permanent piece of our history. It is a small ritual that captures the energy of that specific night. When you visit, you are not just watching a performance, you are joining a collective of storytellers, poets, and thinkers we have been building in Ulsoor for over a decade.
Urban Solace was never intended to be just another cafe. It is a space built for connection. Whether you are coming for 'Tuesdays with the Bard'—our poetry night that has been running for over 15 years—or to catch a midweek comedy set, you will find an environment that feels more like a friend's living room than a venue.
We keep our capacity limited to 50 guests to ensure the focus remains on the artist. You will find that our audio setup is professional but straightforward, designed for acoustic music, spoken word, and clear comedy. Because we are also a cafe and wine bar, you can enjoy a meal while listening to a set. Our seating is intimate, placing you just 5 to 15 feet from the action.
We welcome everyone, from first-time poets testing their verses to regulars who have been part of our community for years. If you are looking for an open mic night in Bengaluru where the audience actually listens, or just a quiet spot by the lake to discuss books, this is where you belong. We do not do 'background noise' here—we do connection.
