About this collection
Our sessions, like our Kabir Gaatha workshops, follow a traditional baithak style with floor seating. This strips away the formality of a concert hall so you can sit close, listen, and truly feel the verses the way they were meant to be experienced.
We view art as a part of rozmarra ki zindagi, or everyday life, rather than a performance for the elite. Our Poetic Traditions cluster is built on this belief. We invite you into a space where the wisdom of Bhakti and Sufi saints is not just taught, it is lived.
In our Kabir Gaatha workshops, we explore how 15th-century mystic poetry mirrors our own inner essence, helping us navigate modern anxieties through song and reflection. We also host intimate Shaam-e-Ghazal evenings, where artists bring the timeless melodies of legends like Jagjit Singh and Mehdi Hasan to life. These are not passive concerts. Whether it is a deep dive into monsoon-themed raagas or an exploration of Sufi love, these gatherings are about creating a shared, reflective atmosphere.
No prior knowledge of Hindi, Urdu, or music theory is required to join. We keep our group sizes small to maintain that sense of a private, community gathering. If you have been looking for a place in Khar to slow down and find connection through words and melody, you will find it here.
Myna
We started Myna in Khar to prove that art does not have to be intimidating. Whether you are here to dive into Kabir's verses or just to lose yourself in a Ghazal, you will find a community that values presence over performance.
