About Vrat & Navratri Fasting Menu
For my fasting menu, the kitchen operation changes completely. I use only Sendha Namak and strictly ensure no onion or garlic enters the cooking area, just like you would at home. Whether you need a full Navratri thali or just a quick bowl of light Sabudana Khichdi, everything is prepared fresh, so you can enjoy your fast without any worry about the quality or the process.
Fasting doesn't mean compromising on taste or health. During Navratri and other fasting days, I focus on traditional favorites that are gentle on the stomach while satisfying those cravings.
What’s on the Menu
My Vrat menu covers everything you need to break your fast comfortably:
- Navratri Thali: This is the most popular choice, featuring fluffy Kuttu ki Poori, Aloo Tamatar ki Sabzi, Petha, and a side of fresh curd.
- Sabudana Classics: I make non-sticky Sabudana Khichdi with potatoes and peanuts, plus crispy Sabudana Tikkis that are perfect for a snack or a light meal.
- Swank Pulao: Also known as Samak ke Chawal, this gluten-free grain is cooked with mild spices and vegetables to keep you full and energized.
Why Order From Me
When it comes to Vrat food, I know that hygiene and ingredient purity are non-negotiable. I don't use regular salt or pre-packaged masalas. Everything is made from scratch. Because I operate a small home kitchen in West Delhi, I can customize your meals too—just let me know if you prefer your Sabudana Khichdi with extra peanuts or your Aloo Sabzi without chili.
I recommend placing your orders at least a day in advance, especially during the peak Navratri days, so I can source the freshest Kuttu flour and produce for you.
Mumma's Kitchen
Namaste, I'm Mumma. I know how important it is to get pure, sattvic food during fasting days, so my devrani and I take extra care to prepare every Navratri meal with the same strict rules we follow at home.
