Our coaches didn't just walk into a gym; they built the floor they stand on. Get to know the faces behind the training and the path they took to lead our tribe.

They didn't start as coaches. They started as interns, full of heart but unsure. This is the story of how our coaches earn the right to lead through a rigorous process of training, teaching, and earning the trust of our senior team.

From a dance coach to a parkour coach who has done stunts for Google, this is the story of Ram Chhetri. He shares his journey, the initial struggles, and his passion for teaching the next generation of movers.

Our founders, a doctor and a physicist, accidentally became carpenters, welders, and painters to build this academy. They share the story of how they designed and built our custom equipment from scratch to create the ultimate training environment.

Where can you buy parkour equipment? You can't. Our founders explain how the need for versatile, high-quality obstacles led them to create their own modular system, which is now the backbone of our academies.

Coach Rishi and Coach Deepanshu lead a high-energy warmup session for the Devil's Circuit bootcamp. This clip shows their hands-on coaching style and the dynamic atmosphere they create.

How do you train for the warped wall in Devil's Circuit? Our coach breaks down the technique for a wall run, explaining foot placement and body positioning so you can train effectively even on a flat wall.

"When will I see results?" Coach Manmohan tackles this common question, explaining that real progress in calisthenics comes from consistent decisions and a willingness to stay uncomfortable, not from a timeline.

About Meet the Coaches

At our academy, you will not find coaches who just copy-paste gym routines from the internet. Every single coach here has walked a path of earning 50 signatures from our senior team, proving they can teach safely and handle real fear. It is a rigorous process of showing, not telling, so you are always guided by someone who has truly been in your shoes and knows how to break down complex movements into simple, safe steps.

Why Our Coaches are Different

Most fitness centers focus on 'gym' culture, but we focus on 'movement' culture. Our founders, a doctor and a physicist, started this academy not because they were athletes, but because they were curious. They had to teach themselves welding, carpentry, and engineering to build the obstacle setups you train on today.

This background shapes how we coach. When you train with us, you are not just learning a movement pattern; you are learning from people who had to figure out how to build the environment for that movement from scratch.

The Path to Coaching

Becoming a coach at Mumbai Movement Academy is not about how many kilos you can lift. It is about how well you can connect with a student who is scared to jump. Our '50-signature' intern program is designed to filter for empathy and safety. A coach only earns their spot when they have demonstrated, 50 times over, that they can keep a student engaged, safe, and confident.

Meet the Tribe

  • Dipanshu: An actor and athlete who turned his corporate life into a movement journey. He understands the transition from desk-bound to active.
  • Ram: A former dance coach who found his true calling in parkour. He brings the fluidity of dance into the mechanics of vaulting.
  • Rishi & Manmohan: The founders who moved from theoretical science and medicine to hands-on coaching. They set the tone for our 'no-ego' training environment.

Whether you are visiting our Andheri, Bandra, Powai, or Breach Candy location, you will be met with the same support. We do not care if you start at zero; we only care that you show up.

We aren't just trainers; we're a tribe of former students who decided to stay and lead. We focus on teaching the 'how' and 'why' of movement because we’ve all been beginners ourselves, terrified of that first jump.
