About Student Portfolio: Newborn & Baby Portraits
The images in this gallery are not stock photos or polished portfolio shots from my own sessions. These are real results from students who walked into our Domlur studio as beginners and walked out with the skills to handle safe newborn posing, lighting setups, and client workflows. You will see firsthand how specific techniques like swaddling, beanbag flow, and fabric tossing transform a raw session into a cohesive, professional quality gallery.
Whether you are just starting or feeling stuck in your current routine, newborn photography is a technical and emotional challenge. It requires more than just a nice camera. In our 2-day Newborn Photography Bootcamp held at my Domlur studio in Bangalore, we strip away the intimidation factor. You will work with real babies under 15 days old to understand the physiological safety limits, soothing techniques, and reflexes that protect the infant while you focus on your shot.
We cover the foundational elements that separate amateur snapshots from professional galleries. You will learn the specific wrapping styles like the Potato Sack, Egg Wrap, and Basket setup. We go into the technical side of lighting, teaching you to master high-key and low-key setups using Profoto or Godox gear. More importantly, we address the business side. Many of my students struggle with pricing for the Indian market, creating client contracts, and knowing how to prepare parents for a session. We include these operations in the bootcamp because a sustainable career relies on profitability as much as it does on creativity.
Every technique taught here is designed to be repeatable. The portraits you see in this portfolio represent the work my students produced using the same beanbag flow, props, and lighting patterns you will learn in class. This is about building a workflow that prevents burnout, ensures baby safety, and creates a consistent style that sets your portfolio apart.
