A moment of perfect synchronicity and balance in a duet with my friend and fellow dancer, Apeksha Kamath. This pose captures the blend of strength and grace that defines our collaborative Bharatanatyam performances.
Abhinaya, or the art of expression, is where I feel most connected to the stories I tell. This is a glimpse into a solo Margam performance, portraying the longing of a nayika in a Thodi Varnam dedicated to Mannargudi Rajagopala.
The pure joy of movement in a playful and energetic Jathi. This segment from a solo performance in New Delhi showcases the technical footwork and rhythmic patterns that form the foundation of a traditional Bharatanatyam recital.

Exploring the many shades of a single emotion. In this informal session with my husband Vishnu on the Navtar, I demonstrate seven different ways of calling 'Krishna', each filled with a unique feeling, from love to anger.
The energy of a live orchestra is irreplaceable. This is a behind the scenes look at a rehearsal for my production "Sharad", showing the vital connection between me and the musicians who bring the performance to life.
About Featured
What you see in this collection is the result of years of 'riyaaz' and collaboration. Whether it is the technical precision required for a complex Jathi or the emotional nuance of Abhinaya, I work closely with my musicians to ensure that every performance, from a solo Margam to a full-scale thematic production, resonates with a live, authentic energy.
My dance is a constant balancing act between my life as a pathologist and my pursuit of Bharatanatyam. This gallery highlights the variety of my work, showcasing how I try to make classical forms accessible and meaningful for today's rasikas.
My Approach to Performance
- Technical Integrity: My training under Smt. Indira Kadambi ensures that my movements, posture, and rhythm remain rooted in traditional precision. This foundation is non-negotiable for me.
- The Power of Live Music: I believe that Bharatanatyam thrives in the presence of a live orchestra. The interplay between the Nattuvangam, Mridangam, and the dancer is a conversation that creates a unique energy, which is why I prioritize live accompaniment for my shows.
- Thematic Depth: Beyond the traditional repertoire, I enjoy crafting productions like 'Sharad' and 'Koham'. These are attempts to merge dance with poetry, mythology, and visual storytelling. It is not just about the steps, but about exploring the philosophy behind the stories.
Planning Your Event
Whether you are looking for an intimate solo performance, a synchronized duet, or a full thematic production for a special occasion in Bengaluru or beyond, my focus remains on delivery and storytelling. Each performance includes a mandatory technical check to ensure the audio and lighting support the complexity of the dance, especially when there are multiple sets of Salangai (ankle bells) involved. My goal is to ensure that the audience feels the story as much as they see it.
