Meet the Team Behind Maska Bakery
A happy kitchen makes better cakes. Get to know the people who pour their heart into every order we send out from our Mahim studio.
A happy moment with the whole Maska team celebrating my birthday in the kitchen. This is my family, and their dedication and joy are the secret ingredients in every cake we make.
I believe a happy kitchen is the most important thing. In this video, I talk about my philosophy for hiring and building a team that feels like a family. Their energy and passion are what make Maska so special.
A glimpse into our kitchen during the busy Diwali season. From decorating lanterns to packing orders and sharing snacks, the festive spirit is alive and well within our team. We work hard, but we always have fun.
Our bakery is a love letter to the iconic Bombay bakeries we grew up with. This video shows how we blend those nostalgic flavours and memories with our own modern twist to create the Maska magic.
About Meet the Maska Family
My hiring process is not about years of experience. I look for the right attitude and a shared joy for the craft, because happy bakers make better desserts. If you visit us during a late-night prep session, you will likely find the team sharing a laugh while packing orders.
Maska Bakery is a love letter to the old Bombay bakeries that defined my childhood. Whether it is our Art Deco cakes or the signature Kejriwal Babka, every item is inspired by the city. We operate out of Mahim, and our team is the heartbeat of this operation. You might spot Santosh bhai from Matunga, our strawberry supplier who has become part of the family, or the team prepping festive boxes during Diwali. We strictly avoid fondant to keep the taste pure, relying on buttercream piping and hand-drawn designs. This commitment to quality and community is why we have grown from a small idea to a team that stays late to get the details right. When you order from us, you are not just getting a cake. You are getting a slice of the joy we put into our work. We believe in the spirit of 'Tilgul ghya goad goad bola' (take sweets and speak sweetly), and we hope that shows in every box we send out.
