Stop guessing at your technique. I use specialized drills with tires and bands to fix your core, bat speed, and stance so you can consistently clear the ropes.

Power hitting session. The player is focusing on generating maximum bat speed and a full follow-through to hit the ball with power.

Power hitting against the bowling machine. This helps the player practice hitting big shots against balls coming at a good pace.

Slog sweep training. This is a power shot, and we are working on getting the right elevation and timing.

Power hitting drill. The player is practicing from a kneeling position to isolate their upper body and arms, building pure hitting strength.

A power hitting session in the nets. The focus is on clearing the front leg and swinging through the line of the ball for maximum distance.

My power hitting sessions aren't just about swinging harder, they are about swinging smarter. We use tires for resistance and specific core drills to build your base and bat speed. You need a stable foundation to clear the ropes, and that comes from controlled, repetitive drilling.

Modern cricket demands power, but you cannot find that power without mastering the basics first. My approach is simple, old school, and tough. If your head isn't still or your alignment is off, you will never generate consistent force, no matter how hard you swing.

The Science of the Shot

We start with the foundation. I often tell my students, 'sab line of the ball rehna' (everything should be in the line of the ball). Your power comes from a solid base, not just arm strength.

  • Tire Drills: We use tires to provide resistance during your swing. This forces your body to engage your core and legs, preventing you from relying solely on your shoulders.
  • Top Hand Control: Your top hand is your steering wheel. We do specific drills to strengthen it, ensuring you maintain control through the entire arc of your swing.
  • Stance & Balance: A lunge or a heavy backfoot punch requires perfect balance. We train this using cones and markers to ensure your weight transfer is efficient.
