About this collection
I don't just tell you to move your feet; I use cones and hurdles to force your body into the right rhythm. When you practice on my turf, we focus on the 'why' behind the movement—whether it's getting your head over the ball or finding the right weight transfer—so you aren't just guessing when the bowler runs in.
Why Balance is Everything
Most batters get out because they lose balance at the crease. If your head is falling over or your toes aren't pointed, you’ve already lost the battle. My training philosophy is simple: Old is gold. We fix your stance and alignment first. Whether you are playing a cover drive, an on-drive, or stepping out to a spinner, your base needs to be rock solid.
My Training Approach
When you train with me in Bangalore, we don't just aimlessly hit balls. We use specific setups:
- Cone & Hurdle Drills: These aren't just for show. They force your feet to move in a precise arc. If you hit a cone, you know your stride is wrong.
- Weight Transfer: We work on shifting your weight at the exact moment of contact. This is what separates a clean hit from a mistimed one.
- The 'Line of the Ball' Rule: I repeat this constantly because it is the golden rule. Sab line of the ball rehna—if your head, shoulder, and toes are in line with the ball, you have options. If not, you are just reacting.
Real Results
This isn't about looking pretty in the nets. It's about muscle memory. I watch every step you take. If you are struggling with your backfoot punch or getting stuck in the crease against spin, we will isolate that movement and drill it until it feels natural. No shortcuts. Just repetition until your feet know exactly where to go before the bowler even delivers the ball.
