Backfoot training is essential for playing short-pitched bowling. This drill helps the player get into a stable position to play a powerful backfoot punch.

A pull shot training session. I believe old-school drills always give the best results, and this one is perfect for learning to control the pull shot.

On-drive training in progress. The cones help the player visualize the line and ensure their foot and bat come through straight.

Specific batting training, focusing on the cut shot. The player is practicing getting into position quickly to play the shot with control.

This is a slog sweep drill using a resistance band. The band adds difficulty, forcing the player to use their core strength to generate power.

Cut shot training. I am feeding balls to the player to help them practice the timing and footwork required for a successful cut shot.

About Shot Development: Drives, Cuts, and Pulls

Don’t just look at the ball—get your alignment right. I focus heavily on the 'line of the ball' for every single drive. If your head, shoulder, and toe aren’t pointing the right way, you are losing control before you even make contact. We use specific cone drills and side-arm feeds to fix that gap between your eyes and your feet, ensuring your stance is solid before you play the shot.
