Photography as narrative. I work with light, composition, and team collaboration to translate character into visual art.

A powerful portrait from the 'ANAINA' series. The model's direct, intense gaze, combined with the voluminous hair and bold lip color, creates a captivating and confident character.

A full-length shot from 'My Flatmate's Wardrobe,' showcasing an eclectic outfit with layered plaid skirts. The pose is dynamic and confident, celebrating unique personal style.

A portrait from the 'Levels of Power' series, featuring a model in a black hat and suit against a smoky red background. The dramatic lighting and commanding pose evoke a sense of authority and mystery.

A full-body shot from the 'Silhouette' project, where the model is shrouded in darkness. The lighting carves out the shape of the striped suit and fringed top, focusing entirely on form.

An experimental styling shot where two shirts are draped to create a dress. The image captures a moment of creative improvisation and movement in a simple, intimate setting.

Another portrait from 'Silhouette,' with the model turned slightly towards the light. This angle reveals more of the face while maintaining the dramatic, high-contrast mood.

The model stands on a wooden pallet in this shot from 'Silhouette.' The elevation adds a theatrical element, enhancing the dramatic effect of the single light source.

A close-up portrait from 'Silhouette,' where the deep shadows obscure parts of the face. This creates an intense, enigmatic mood, drawing focus to the eyes and the texture of the jacket.

A silhouette shot from 'Levels of Power,' where the model tips her hat. The red background glows behind her, creating a powerful and cinematic image.

A profile shot from 'Levels of Power,' highlighting the model's strong jawline and the unique shape of the handbag. The smoky red atmosphere adds to the noir feel.

About Character & Mood Studies

Every session starts with a narrative framework, not just a shot list. I coordinate closely with stylists and makeup artists to ensure the clothing, lighting, and expression align with the specific mood we are building—whether it's the intense gaze of the 'ANAINA' series or the dramatic, noir-inspired lighting of 'Levels of Power'.

My approach to fashion photography is rooted in storytelling. I treat each frame as a commentary on the subject's character, using creative direction to build a world around them.

The Conceptual Process

I do not just take pictures; I direct scenes. Before the shoot, we define a narrative arc. For my 'Silhouette' series, the focus was entirely on form and geometry, using a single light source to strip away distractions. Conversely, projects like 'My Flatmate's Wardrobe' celebrate individual identity, where styling and personal props become the primary language.

Collaborative Execution

Art is a team effort. A successful editorial portrait requires a cohesive team. I work alongside stylists and makeup artists who understand that every texture and color choice must serve the broader concept. Whether we are planning an avant-garde look or a minimalist beauty shot, I ensure that the styling, HMUA, and model's expression are in total harmony with the creative direction.

Lighting and Atmosphere

Lighting is my primary tool for establishing mood. I use various methods to achieve the desired effect, from cinematic chiaroscuro for dramatic portraits to softer, intentional lighting for character-driven stories. My work balances technical precision with a raw, authentic feeling, often incorporating motion blur or unconventional framing to push the boundaries of traditional editorial work.

I am available for concept-driven shoots in Mumbai and Kochi, working with brands, designers, and individuals who want a distinct visual identity.
