I treat the studio as a canvas, using dramatic light and texture to build atmospheric, cinematic narratives that feel personal, bold, and entirely your own.

A dramatic portrait from my 'Athena' series for Sigma. The model is styled in a magnificent red gown with floral shoulder details, emerging from a dark background. The lighting is minimal and focused, creating a sense of powerful solitude.

An artistic, dreamlike portrait of 'Athena'. I used a slow shutter speed and colored gels to paint with light, creating a soft, ethereal glow around the model's face as she interacts with the red floral styling.

A shot from the 'Athena' series featuring a sculptural black dress against a fiery red background. The styling is avant-garde, and the lighting from the side carves out the model's silhouette.

A direct, confrontational portrait of 'Athena'. The model, styled in a dramatic black pleated top, looks straight at the camera. The red lighting adds an intense, emotional undercurrent.

A more pensive pose from the 'Athena' series. The styling of the black sculptural piece is the focus, with the model's pose adding a touch of vulnerability to the powerful look.

A black and white portrait of 'Athena'. This minimalist composition focuses on the sharp, angular lines of the styling and the model's striking features, creating a timeless and graphic image.

A futuristic fashion portrait with cool, blue-toned lighting. The styling features a structured white hooded garment, and I used a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of the model's hair, adding a dynamic element.

A powerful, low-angle shot. The model is styled in a white architectural coat, and the blue lighting from below creates a heroic, otherworldly mood.

A close-up portrait with dramatic blue and gold makeup. The styling is clean and futuristic, with the focus on the model's intense gaze and the pop of metallic color.

A serene yet strong portrait. The styling with the wide-collared white coat is almost clerical, while the blue eyeshadow adds a modern, artistic touch.

About Studio Portraits & Moody Atmospheres

My studio process starts with a defined mood, not a generic pose list. Whether it is the 'Athena' series or a high-fashion lookbook, I use physical barriers, colored gels, or deliberate slow shutter movements to build texture and atmosphere directly in-camera. We are not just capturing how you look; we are capturing the specific energy of the garment and the story you want to tell.

How I Build Atmosphere

Studio photography, in my eyes, is about control. By stripping away the distractions of the outside world, I can manipulate light and shadow to serve the narrative. In the 'Athena' series, for instance, the red lighting wasn't just an aesthetic choice; it was a way to ground the model in a sense of powerful, fiery isolation.

The Collaborative Process

It is rarely a one-woman show. To achieve these looks, I coordinate closely with makeup artists and hair stylists to ensure the beauty look aligns with the garment's structure. If we are shooting a sculptural piece, the hair needs to complement those lines, not fight them. We spend time on set adjusting the drape of the fabric and the fall of the light until the composition feels intentional.

What to Expect

  • Pre-Shoot Moodboarding: We define the visual language before we pick up a camera.
  • Technical Precision: I use specific lens and lighting techniques to create the hazy, dreamlike, or sharp, graphic effects you see in my gallery.
  • Styling Synergy: Since I am also a stylist, I understand how fabrics react to light. We ensure the garment stays pristine and the silhouettes remain sharp throughout the session.

Whether you are a designer looking to showcase a new collection or an individual wanting a portrait that moves away from the traditional, I bring the same cinematic rigor to every shoot.
