Featured Wildlife Photography
A collection of my favorite frames from 15 years in the field, from the dense forests of Tadoba to the high-altitude landscapes of the Himalayas.
Grace in every step, power in every stride. Witnessing a tiger walk with the spirit of the wild is an unforgettable experience, and a moment we constantly seek on my tours in parks like Panna and Tadoba.
The Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, a tiny jewel of the forest. Capturing its vibrant colors requires not just technical skill but a deep understanding of its habitat, something I focus on teaching during my bird photography workshops.
There's nothing quite like the thrill of a tiger moving alongside your jeep. This is the kind of immersive, heart-pounding moment we live for on safari in places like Jim Corbett National Park.
A leopard, the master of stealth, pauses on a rock in Bandipur. My tours focus on reading the landscape and animal behavior to find and photograph these elusive predators in their natural element.
A magnificent tusker emerges from the grasslands of Kabini. Encounters with these gentle giants are a highlight of my tours, offering incredible opportunities for powerful wildlife portraits.
On expedition in the high-altitude landscapes of the Himalayas. My tours go beyond the usual circuits, taking you to epic locations I know intimately, whether in India or on international expeditions.
A golden jackal under the full moon, a moment of pure magic. This shot was about creative lighting and patience, two key skills we work on to transform a simple sighting into a storytelling image.
About this collection
You'll notice these shots aren't just lucky encounters; they are the result of tracking animal behaviour for hours. When you join me on a safari, we don't just drive hoping to spot something. We actively read the jungle, listening for alarm calls and observing habitat signs to position ourselves before the action starts.
Photography is 90 percent waiting and 10 percent action. This gallery holds the moments that defined my 15-year career. It is not just about the big cats, though the tiger images from Panna and Tadoba are a significant part of my work. It is about understanding the environment. When we are out in a jeep in Kabini or trekking the Western Ghats, I teach you to look beyond the obvious. We watch for the flick of an ear, the alarm call of a langur, or the sudden silence of birds, which often signals a predator nearby. These images are proof that when you stop chasing and start observing, the jungle reveals its secrets. Whether you are using a professional DSLR or a mirrorless setup, I focus on helping you get off auto mode to master the exposure triangle and predictive framing. My goal is for you to walk away with shots that actually tell a story, rather than just snapshots.
