International Wildlife Photography Expeditions

Beyond India's reserves, I lead small-group photography expeditions to the great plains of Africa and the vibrant cloud forests of Costa Rica. Come chase lions and hummingbirds with me.

The king of the savanna. A male lion in his prime, photographed on one of my African safari expeditions. His direct gaze and powerful build are truly awe inspiring.

A cheetah pauses in the tall grass of the Masai Mara. My African tours focus on capturing the speed and grace of these incredible predators.

An African leopard stands alert. While similar to their Indian cousins, they inhabit a different world, and photographing them offers a new set of challenges and rewards.

The legendary Resplendent Quetzal in the cloud forests of Costa Rica. Finding and photographing this bird, with its incredibly long tail, is a primary goal of my Neotropical tours.

A different angle of the male Resplendent Quetzal, showing its vibrant green and red plumage. These birds are a true treasure of the rainforest.

A Blue and Yellow Macaw in full flight. The rainforests of the Neotropics are alive with color, and we use specialized techniques to capture these fast moving, brilliant birds.

A close up of a Keel-billed Toucan's incredible beak. The details and colors are astonishing, and our workshops in Costa Rica focus on capturing these unique features.

About this collection

In the Masai Mara, capturing a lion's gaze requires quiet patience for hours in an open jeep. In the Costa Rican cloud forests, however, the challenge shifts to mastering high-speed settings to freeze a hummingbird's wing mid-beat. You need to be ready to change your entire technical approach as quickly as you change your lenses.

My international expeditions are not typical tourist safaris. They are designed for photographers who want to move beyond the usual shots and understand the behavior of the animals they are framing.

The African Safari Experience

When we head to Africa, the scale changes. We track cheetahs through the tall grass of the Masai Mara and observe lions in their prime. It is about understanding the landscape, anticipating predator movement, and managing light over vast, open plains. These trips require long lenses, a steady hand, and the ability to stay alert for hours, waiting for that one second of action.

The Neotropics & Bird Photography

My Costa Rica expeditions are the polar opposite. We trade wide-angle landscape shots for macro work and high-shutter speed photography. The rainforest is a different beast entirely. We use specialized flash setups to capture the iridescent colors of the Resplendent Quetzal and the blurred movement of hummingbirds. If you have struggled to get a sharp shot of a fast-moving bird, this is the environment where you learn to perfect it.

Why Join My Expeditions

  • Small Groups Only: I keep group sizes minimal so I can spend time with every participant. You get one-on-one coaching, not just general advice shouted over a crowd.
  • Technical Rigor: From Exposure Triangle adjustments to reading alarm calls, I share the same techniques I have developed over 15 years in the field.
  • Ethical Conduct: We never chase or stress animals for a shot. We position ourselves, we wait, and we let the wildlife come to us.

Whether you are looking to build your big cat portfolio or want to master the art of bird flight photography, these trips are about filling your memory cards with substance, not just frames.
