Building Champions on the Maidan
We are Mahatma Gandhi Sports Academy—where discipline, grit, and hard work transform students into state and national-level athletes. This is where champions are made.
This is what we train for. We are incredibly proud of our student, Vidhish Raut, standing with coach Fayaz Jamadar after winning a medal at the 67th National School Games for Yogasana. This moment represents the dedication and hard work we instill in every athlete.
Here is a look at the advanced flexibility and control we develop in our young athletes. This video shows a student seamlessly executing a complex yogasana posture, a result of disciplined practice and expert one-on-one coaching for competitive yoga.
We celebrate team success as much as individual victories. This collage captures our U-14 boys' team's achievements at the 68th National School Games, where they secured medals in Rhythmic and Artistic Yogasana and placed fourth in the team event under the guidance of our coach.
Welcome to our 8-Day Residential Yoga Camp. This is where young minds and bodies are shaped through a disciplined routine of yoga, meditation, and team activities. It's more than a camp; it's a family of aspiring yogis learning together.
The joy of victory. Our young champions and coaches proudly display their medals and certificates after a successful run at the Parle Mahotsav. We believe in celebrating every achievement, big or small, as a team.
Our academy is led by recognized experts in the field. We are proud to announce that our head coach, Fayaz Jamadar, was appointed as an official judge for the 68th National Level School Yogasana Competition, a testament to his deep knowledge and standing in the sport.
Hech te maidan. This is the ground that teaches us to never give up. In the quiet of the night, lit by diyas, our students stand together on this sacred soil that has given us our identity as athletes.
About Featured
Every medal you see here, whether from the National School Games or local tournaments like the Parle Mohatsav, is earned through hours of strict, repetitive practice on our ground. We do not believe in shortcuts. If the toe point is off or the balance isn't perfect, we fix it immediately because this is training for high-level district and state representation. This isn't a casual hobby class; it is where aspiring athletes come to get selection-ready.
Training with Intent
Our coaching is built on the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) standards. We don't just teach postures; we focus on the competitive mechanics required to win. Whether it is artistic yoga or traditional forms, our batches are limited to 20-30 students to ensure every athlete gets the manual adjustments needed for technical precision.
Life on the Maidan
Our philosophy is simple: hech te maidan (this ground teaches us). It is a sacred space where students leave their worries at the gate and focus entirely on grit. We start our sessions with a collective discipline, ensuring that the work ethic on the mat translates into the classroom and life beyond sports.
Residential Immersion
For students who want to take their training to the next level, our 8-day residential camps in Saphale provide a total immersion experience. This includes:
- Dual Daily Training: High-intensity morning and evening sessions.
- Holistic Conditioning: Swimming, meditation, and traditional mud-ground games like Kho-Kho.
- Total Discipline: Managed mobile usage and a strict routine that builds independence.
Our coaches, led by Fayaz Jamadar, are not just instructors; they are active participants in the state sports circuit. We invite serious students, from beginners to aspiring medalists, to join our family and experience the #wearemahatma standard.
