Handmade Ceramic Mugs and Cups
Whether you need a sturdy companion for your morning coffee or a special gift, my handmade mugs bring a touch of slow-living to your daily ritual.
The 'Pink Sienna' mug is a study in contrasts, with a glossy pink glaze on top and a rustic, hand-carved floral pattern below. It's a tactile piece that feels wonderful to hold.
A pair of 'Pink Sienna' mugs, each with its own unique hand-carved floral details. Because they are handmade, no two are ever exactly alike, which is part of their charm.
A side view of the 'Pink Sienna' mug, showing how the carved sgraffito flowers wrap around the earthy, textured base. This piece is both a functional coffee mug and a small sculpture.

My 'Pist-a-chio' mug features a beautiful blend of blushing rouge and soft green glazes. The colors melt into each other, creating a unique, watercolor-like effect on every piece.

The 'Aubergine Drip' mug showcases a rich, deep purple glaze with hints of blue that drip down the hand-carved vertical grooves. It's a modern and elegant design.

About Mugs & Cups for Every Moment
You will notice these mugs are not perfectly uniform, and that is the point. I design the handles for a natural grip and use high-fired stoneware that feels substantial in your hand, ensuring that your morning chai or coffee ritual feels grounded and intentional every single day.
Every mug I create starts as a simple lump of clay in my HSR Layout studio. I either throw them on the wheel for classic silhouettes or build them by hand when I want that raw, organic feel. You might see me using the sgraffito technique, where I carve patterns through layers of color to reveal the earth beneath, or experimenting with glazes that drip and bloom in the kiln.
Because I craft these in small batches, every piece has its own personality. You might find a slightly wobbly handle or a fingerprint indentation, which I call the 'wabi-sabi' of pottery. It is a reminder that a human made this, not a machine.
I design these to be used, not just admired. They are microwave and dishwasher safe, lead-free, and sturdy enough for the bustle of daily life. Whether you want a mug with your name carved into it or a specific glaze that matches your kitchen decor, I can customize the shape, texture, and finish to suit your taste. If you are looking to slow down and appreciate the small things, these pieces are designed to help you do just that.
