The "Silent Bell Transfer" is a wonderful activity for developing focus, patience, and fine motor skills. The children are completely engaged as they try to pass the bell without making a sound.
All aboard for a fishing adventure. This imaginative play activity helps children develop hand-eye coordination and patience as they "fish" in their little boats, working together and sharing their space.
We believe in making learning interesting by changing the environment. Here, a child is completely absorbed in coloring under a table, a simple twist that turns a familiar activity into a new and exciting exploration.
Pretend play is a powerful tool for learning. This video shows children exploring different roles, from a little mechanical engineer to a police officer, helping them understand the world and develop their imagination.
Look at these proud faces. Our little learners are engaged in a worksheet activity, developing pre-writing skills and focus in a supportive group setting.
Creativity in action. The children proudly display the colorful paper wreaths they made, an activity that enhances their fine motor skills and allows for self-expression.
A sensory play session with aluminum foil. Toddlers explore the unique texture and sound of the material, which is a great way to stimulate their senses and curiosity.
A happy classroom scene where children are working on a craft project. Group activities like this foster a sense of community and allow kids to learn from each other.
Fun with dress-up. Wearing these cute alien hats, the children are engaging in imaginative play, which is essential for developing creativity and social-emotional skills.
This video showcases some of our creative art sessions, including tissue paper magic and pendulum painting. These activities are not just fun; they teach children about cause and effect, color mixing, and physics in a hands-on way.
About Learning Through Joyful Activities
We recently had the kids try the Silent Bell Transfer—a simple activity that has become a favorite. Each child has to pass a brass bell from our temple set without ringing it, demanding total focus, steady hands, and immense patience. It is exactly the kind of play we love: low-tech, high-engagement, and deeply calming for toddlers who are usually bursting with energy.
Our curriculum at Cubby Tales is built on the idea that play is the work of a child. We do not believe in rushing milestones. Instead, we create an environment where learning happens naturally, through curiosity and hands-on experience. Whether it is pendulum painting to teach cause and effect, or sensory play with aluminum foil to spark imagination, every activity has a clear purpose.
We keep our centers in Koramangala and Hebbal free from screens, focusing instead on real-world interactions. You will see toddlers building fine motor skills through threading and block building, or developing social confidence through group role-play where they act as mechanics and police officers. Our caregivers ensure that even simple moments, like fishing in a pretend boat or coloring under a table, are transformed into educational milestones. We invite you to drop by our center, watch the kids at play, and see how our approach to early childhood education builds a strong, confident foundation for your little ones.
