A look at how we blend function and art with light. These projects showcase our layered approach to lighting for offices, retail spaces, and architectural facades.
This is one of my favorite ways to blend art with function. For this office pantry, I used these beautiful bird-shaped decorative lights to create a striking visual centerpiece. This is balanced with integrated joinery lighting under the shelf, which provides perfect, shadow-free light for the task area below.
In this double-height workspace, I wanted to do more than just illuminate the room. I designed a sculptural installation with LED tube lights arranged in a dynamic pattern. This approach provides uniform, comfortable light across the desks while also acting as a unique piece of art that defines the brand's creative energy.
Facade lighting is about telling a story before someone even steps inside. For the Museum Inn, I used light to accentuate the classical architectural details, creating a warm, inviting glow that gives the building a timeless and grand presence at night.
In a luxury showroom, the mood is everything. Here, I used a multi-layered lighting strategy to create a spa-like atmosphere. A floating effect is achieved with soft light under the bathtub, while adjustable spotlights highlight key features like the art and textures without causing glare.
Light can transform simple materials. For this collaborative space, I used grazers to cast light down the textured wall, revealing its rich detail and creating a sense of warmth. Above, a custom grid of globe lights provides soft ambient illumination, making the space feel welcoming and inspiring.
Every project starts with a vision. This video shows a quick look at my sketching process, where I map out the layers of light to define the mood and function of a space. It's how I ensure the final design is both beautiful and practical.

Every project you see here starts with a deliberate sketch. We do not just select fixtures; we map out light and shadow to define the mood of the room. Whether it is a luxury showroom or a busy office, my team plans for task, accent, and ambient layers before a single cable is laid.
We view lighting as a three-dimensional layer of design rather than an afterthought. When we approach a space, our primary goal is to highlight textures, define volume, and create a specific, functional atmosphere.
Our technical process begins with Dialux simulations to ensure strict compliance with Lux levels, preventing hotspots while keeping task areas productive. In workspaces, we prioritize glare-free illumination that keeps teams energized throughout the day. For retail showrooms, our approach shifts toward visual hierarchy. We use narrow-beam spotlights to guide the eye toward merchandise and high-CRI fixtures to ensure accurate color rendering.
Take our work at Museum Inn as an example. We used warm, directional light to accentuate classical architecture, creating a grand, timeless presence at night. In contrast, the Steelcase workspace required a different strategy; we utilized sculptural LED installations to generate dynamic energy while maintaining the specific functional light levels required for collaborative work.
Ultimately, lighting design changes how people interact with a room. Whether we are highlighting a wall texture, defining a circulation path, or calibrating light for video calls, every decision is made to improve the human experience of the built environment.
