Architectural Facade Lighting Design
Design & Visualization
- Night-time Renderings: High-quality 2D/3D visualizations to simulate the evening look and lantern effects before installation.
- Form & Texture Enhancement: Strategy to graze stone cladding or wash pillars using precise beam angles (e.g., 10 degree spot vs 36 degree flood).
- Light Spill Control: Positioning logic to ensure external lights focus on the architecture and do not shine into bedroom windows.
Technical Integration
- Concealed Conduit Planning: Drawings provided during the civil stage to ensure all wiring is hidden within the facade structure.
- Automation Logic: Planning for astronomical clocks or timers to automate switching based on sunset and specific time zones (e.g., dimming after 11 PM).
- Fixture BOQ: Detailed list of robust outdoor-grade fixtures (wall washers, linear grazers) with specific lumen outputs.
Execution Support
- Site Coordination: Marking specific points for light fixtures on external walls in coordination with civil contractors.
- Final Commissioning: Site visit to verify light throw matches the design intent and adjust for final effect.
Landscape & Garden Lighting Design
Concept & Mood Creation
- 3-Layer Light Planning: Strategy involving ambient safety lighting, tree accentuation, and decorative lighting for a resort-like atmosphere.
- Visual Narrative: Mood boards defining specific effects like Moonlighting or Golden Light warmth.
- Glare Control: Placement strategy to ensure light sources remain invisible and do not blind pedestrians on pathways.
Technical Documentation
- Weather-Proof Specifications: Bill of Quantities specifying IP65 (rainproof) to IP68 (underwater) fixtures to prevent failure in monsoon weather.
- Cabling & Trenching Layouts: CAD drawings showing underground cable runs to avoid root damage and ensure electrical safety.
- Circuiting Logic: Separation of circuits to allow different modes such as Party Mode, Security Mode, or Late Night Dim.
On-Site Supervision
- Fixture Aiming: Physical adjustment of spike lights and tree uplighters during installation to achieve the perfect shadow play.
- Prototype Check: Reviewing sample fixtures on-site to verify light color temperature (3000K vs 2700K) before bulk purchase.
About Architectural & Landscape Lighting
My Take on Lighting
I see lighting as more than just making things visible. It's how I bring out the personality of your space - whether it's a building or a garden, I treat it like a blank canvas waiting to be revealed. Every project is a chance to set the mood and create moments that feel special.
How I Create Atmosphere
Layering is my main trick. I mix ambient architectural lighting for comfort, add accent lights for drama, and toss in some decorative touches that really catch your eye. These layers let me shift vibes easily - from chill evenings to lively parties, it's all in the way the light plays around.
Lighting Up Buildings and Landscapes
I like to highlight what makes your place unique. For facades, I use building facade illumination to gently show off details without being harsh. Sometimes I even turn a home into a glowing lantern so it feels warm from inside out. Outside, outdoor mood lighting lets me make garden paths inviting and cabanas almost magical, especially in places like Goa where laid-back style matters.
Working Together
I act as your lighting consultant, teaming up with architects and designers right from the start. That way, layered lighting design becomes part of the plan, not just something tacked on later. My goal is to help you get a space that feels good day and night, inside and out.

My Story
We’re Light Inspired Thinking. I’ve always been a bit obsessed with how light changes everything. My own house? Tore down the walls just to let it glow like a lantern at night. Bangalore Golf Club was a dream project – childhood memories and all that. Being named in the '40 under 40' for lighting design? Still can’t believe it. At the end of the day, it’s all about creating spaces that feel alive, just by playing with light.
My Work
Architectural Lighting & Light Art - We design lighting for homes, offices, restaurants, retail, facades, and also create light art installations.
Layered Lighting for Mood - We mix general, decorative, joinery, and accent lights for the right mood—relaxed, dramatic, or party-ready.
Storytelling with Light - We highlight textures, walls, and details, making spaces feel bigger, richer, and more interesting.
Concept to Reality - We start with sketches, work closely with architects, and bring the lighting vision to life together.
