About Painting: From Canvas to Wall Murals
Unlike rigid academic setups, our sessions are focused on consistent practice and finding your personal style. Whether you are working on a canvas or a large-scale wall mural, you will get direct, actionable feedback on your brushwork and color blending, not just generic advice.
Art is a skill you develop through repetition and observation, not just theory. At our Kalkaji studio, we break down painting into manageable technical steps, whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or preparing a portfolio for art school.
Mastering the Mediums
Our classes cover the practical application of different materials:
- Canvas Painting: We explore the textures and drying times of oils and acrylics. You will learn how to layer colors to build depth and create light, a crucial skill for realistic portraiture and landscapes.
- Watercolor Techniques: This medium requires patience and understanding of water control. Our sessions focus on transparency, flow, and timing, allowing you to capture the fluidity of your subjects.
- Wall Murals: Moving from a small canvas to a wall is a shift in scale and perspective. We teach you how to grid your designs, manage large-area coverage, and maintain consistency in style, whether you are planning a superhero wall for a bedroom or a professional installation.
Our Approach to Learning
We keep our batches small to ensure everyone gets time at the easel. There is no pretense here. You will see students working alongside professional artists, sharing tips, and solving problems in real-time. If you are struggling with a specific technique—like capturing facial features or blending pastel shades—we show you the process step-by-step. You do not need to bring a massive kit on your first day; just bring your curiosity, and we will help you get started.
