About Art Programs for Kids & Teens
The most important thing to know is that we keep our batches strictly capped at 6 to 10 students. This allows me to provide direct, hands-on guidance to every child during the session—fixing their grip, showing them how to mix colors properly, or correcting their perspective—rather than simply giving a demonstration from the front of the room.
Art is a skill like any other, and it requires practice, patience, and the right environment. At my studio in Kalkaji, we skip the chaotic 'playgroup' approach and treat the sessions as a proper workshop.
How We Teach
We focus on the fundamentals because that is what builds confidence. Whether your child is a beginner or is getting serious about art, we cover the essentials:
- Foundational Skills: We start with line practice, shape understanding, and pressure control. Without these, even advanced projects feel frustrating.
- Mediums: Students work with graphite, charcoal, oil pastels, and watercolors. We don't just watch; we get our hands dirty.
- Personalized Feedback: Because the groups are small, I can adapt the curriculum. If a student is interested in portraits, we spend time on anatomy. If they prefer landscapes, we focus on perspective and color mixing.
The Environment
We run weekend batches specifically so you don't have to stress your weekday schedule. The studio is air-conditioned and well-lit, providing a focused atmosphere where students can concentrate on their work. We encourage peer learning, where students see what others are creating and learn from both successes and mistakes.
If you are unsure if this is the right fit, I always recommend booking a demo class first. It lets your child see the studio, meet me, and get a feel for how we work before you commit to a full month.
