About this collection
We keep our painting batches small, usually 8 to 10 students, so you get the time to ask about specific techniques instead of just following a generic demo. You work on your own canvas at your own pace, with us walking you through the layering, shading, and technical choices that make a painting look finished.
When you paint on canvas, the process is just as important as the result. Whether you are using fast-drying acrylics for vibrant, layered cityscapes or slow-drying oils for rich portraits, we teach you how to handle the medium with confidence.
We do not just show you how to draw; we teach you how to observe. You will learn how to block in shapes, manage light and shadow, and use tools like the palette knife for that rich, tactile texture you see in professional pieces. Many of our students come here to clear their heads after a long week, and we treat the studio as a calm space for that.
We supply the professional easels and still-life setups, so you can just bring your interest and energy. If you are preparing for BFA entrance exams, we integrate these canvas sessions into your portfolio development, ensuring your work has the technical depth that examiners look for.
