About Behind the Magic: My Process
My process is built entirely around your comfort and your timing. I typically book sessions between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy, when you feel most radiant. In my Malad West studio, I handle all the styling and fabric draping myself, so you do not have to worry about the logistics of posing or adjusting your outfit during the shoot.
Photography for me is about more than just a camera. It is about creating a safe space where you can let your guard down. When we shoot, I act as your guide. If we are doing a 'Goddess' set, I personally help with the intricate fabric drapes to get that perfect, regal silhouette. If we are doing a more casual outdoor shoot, I help you find the light and the angles that make you feel like yourself.
My shoots are never rushed. We take breaks when you need them, whether that is for water, a quick rest, or nursing if you have other little ones with you. I provide a wide selection of maternity gowns in my client closet, so we can mix and match styles from bold and sequined to soft and ethereal.
Before we start, we plan together. You might have seen poses online that you love, or perhaps you want to incorporate a specific cultural element like a traditional saree. I want to know about it. My goal is for you to look back at these images years from now and remember exactly how it felt to hold your bump and feel the connection with your growing family.
