Parent FAQs and Class Guidelines
Choosing the right learning partner involves a lot of questions. Here are the answers to the most common queries about our schedules, assessments, and class adjustments to help you plan ahead.
Parents often ask about our academic calendar. This FAQ explains that we conduct 38 working weeks in a year, excluding holidays, and children are expected to attend as per their scheduled batch time.
This FAQ answers a common question about changing batches mid-year. While changes are not typically allowed after enrollment, we may consider a shift if there is a vacancy and it is feasible.
What if your child misses a session? This FAQ explains our policy on adjustment classes. We provide an adjustment session within the same week, with a maximum of four adjustments per year.
This FAQ addresses how we track progress. We conduct 2-3 structured assessments per year based on grade level, followed by a one-on-one Open House with parents and a final Progress Report.
I was glad to be a part of the World of Education Expo 2023. Events like these are a great opportunity for me to connect with parents, explore new learning opportunities, and share my passion for education.
This video is a recap of our exciting year in 2023. From a full house at our Open House to festive classroom celebrations, it was a year of learning, growing, and expanding horizons at Learner's Hub.
On April 16th, we celebrated 13 years of Learner's Hub! We started with 4 teachers and 110 students, and today we have grown to a team of 17 teachers guiding 650 students. This incredible journey is a testament to our passion and dedication.
About For Parents: Orientations & FAQs
We know life happens, so our flexibility policy is built with busy parents in mind. If your child misses a session, you are eligible for up to four adjustment classes per academic year. Simply inform the coordinator in advance to schedule a makeup session within that same week, ensuring your child stays consistent with their learning flow.
Our Academic Structure
Transparency is the foundation of the trust I build with parents. At Learner’s Hub, we operate on a structured academic calendar consisting of 38 working weeks annually. This ensures that every student gets sufficient time to master concepts, practice, and participate in interactive activities, excluding major holidays and breaks.
Batch Policies
- Small Batches: To ensure every child is heard and noticed, we maintain strict batch sizes of 8-12 students.
- Consistency: Once you confirm enrollment, we typically do not allow batch changes. However, if a vacancy opens up and your requested slot is feasible, we are always open to discussing a shift.
- Session Duration: Our offline classes are 1 hour 30 minutes, while our online sessions are optimized at 1 hour 15 minutes to respect screen attention spans.
Tracking Progress
Marks are just numbers, but tracking growth is essential. We conduct 2-3 structured assessments per year, tailored to your child's grade level. We believe in communication, not just report cards; after every assessment, we hold a one-on-one Open House with parents to discuss progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. You receive a final Progress Report at the end of the academic year.
Common Questions
Can I shift my child's batch mid-year? We prioritize stability for the child's learning curve. We do not encourage switching, but we do assess requests based on current availability and operational feasibility.
How does the online program differ? We use a 'hybrid-mindset' for online learning. While the session happens on Zoom, we courier a complete physical study kit—books, flashcards, and worksheets—to your home. Your child works on paper during the call, not just on a screen, mirroring the classroom experience in Kandivali.
Do you offer demo classes? We invite you to reach out via WhatsApp so we can understand your child's current level and suggest the best entry point into our enrichment programs.
Learner's Hub
I started Learner’s Hub with a simple goal: to make English a skill kids actually use, not just a subject they study. As a parent myself, I know you want clarity on how your child spends their time here, and my team and I are always just a conversation away.
