Teaching English for Expression, Not Just Exams
Grades show memory, but confidence shows capability. I help students stop translating in their heads and start expressing themselves freely in English.
Good marks can get your child promoted, but strong English skills determine how far they will go in life. I teach English as the language of confidence, interviews, and opportunities. At Learner's Hub, we build expressive, future-ready communicators.
A report card shows grades and memory, but it doesn't show confidence or expression. In life, the ability to express oneself wins. I focus on building the skills that report cards can't measure, like vocabulary, reading confidence, and creative writing.
Confidence often depends on the environment. Many children who are outspoken in a safe classroom become quiet outside due to fear of judgment. I provide that encouraging space where speaking imperfectly is okay, helping confidence become a natural habit everywhere.
Have you ever started a sentence in English and your mind went blank? This often comes from the pressure of trying to be perfect. I teach my students that fluency isn't about getting everything right; it's about staying relaxed and allowing yourself to speak imperfectly.
Creative writing is a skill that builds slowly, like a muscle. Waiting until Grade 8 to fix writing issues means you are correcting problems that should have been addressed in Grade 3. I believe in starting early to build a strong foundation when it's easiest.
Many children study English for years but never learn to speak or write confidently. They memorize rules but can't express their thoughts. I focus on closing this gap between academic knowledge and practical application, which is what truly holds a child back.
A teacher plays a role similar to a parent in a child's learning journey. At Learner's Hub, my team of educators connects with every student to ensure their holistic development, offering personalized attention to solve their unique challenges. We even have an in-house parenting coach to support your journey.
My teaching method is built on four key principles: Innovation, Connection, Education, and Engagement. Like a bow and arrow, these principles work together to aim your child toward the ultimate target: Empowerment. This ensures they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
Just like an athlete needs the right training to excel, a student's learning potential is unlocked with the right guidance. I use a combination of personalized instruction, engaging teaching methods, and a supportive environment to help every student reach their full potential.
I believe that "Learning is not preparation for life; learning is life itself." This quote perfectly captures my approach. I aim to make learning a continuous and enriching part of a child's daily experience, fostering adaptability and a lifelong love for knowledge.
About More Than Marks: My Philosophy
Most children get stuck because they think in their mother tongue and then try to translate it into English. That is where the flow breaks, or as we say, flow toot jaata hai. My classes focus on closing this gap between academic rules and actual conversation, ensuring your child learns to think and feel in the language naturally.
Many parents come to me worried that their child scores well in school but freezes when asked a simple question. This happens because we often teach English as a set of rules to memorize for an exam, rather than a living language.
At Learner's Hub in Kandivali, we change this approach. We use multi-sensory methods like Jolly Phonics and Letterland for the early years, and 'Musical Power Paragraphs' for creative writing to keep children engaged. We avoid boring, repetitive worksheets. Instead, we use grammar games, flashcards, and storytelling to make the learning process feel like play.
Confidence is fragile. If a child fears making a mistake, they stop speaking. I create a safe environment where making mistakes is welcomed as part of the learning process. Whether it is our online program or our in-person sessions, the goal remains the same: to build a student who is not afraid to speak up. Whether your child is in Jr. KG or Grade 10, it is never too early to start building these skills. If you are tired of seeing marks that do not reflect your child's true potential, let's talk about the next step.
Learner's Hub
I am Nisha Sanghavi, and I started this journey with just three kids in my living room. Today, I lead a team of 20 dedicated teachers committed to one goal: that spark in a child's eye when they finally read a sentence with pride.
