Boxing and Muay Thai techniques are built on the bag and perfected on the mitts. At our GTB Nagar gym, we drill the fundamentals until your movement becomes muscle memory.

We start with the fundamentals. This clip shows a student working on basic boxing combinations on the mitts, focusing on proper form for jabs and crosses. Honing these basics is the key to building a strong striking foundation.

A typical boxing training session at our GTB Nagar gym. The student is practicing punch combinations and head movement with a coach, building the rhythm and flow essential for effective boxing.

Here, two students engage in a partner drill, practicing offensive and defensive boxing techniques. This type of training helps improve reaction time and the ability to read an opponent's movements.

We have a strong community of female boxers. This student is working on her power and speed with a coach, throwing crisp combinations on the pads. Our classes are a great way to learn self-defense and build confidence.

This is a look at a beginner's Muay Thai technique drill. We teach the fundamentals of the "art of eight limbs," including how to properly throw kicks and block strikes, ensuring a solid base for new students.

As a coach, I believe in leading by example. This throwback video shows me working the pads, demonstrating the speed, power, and technique that I teach my students in every class.

Preparing a fighter for an upcoming bout involves sharpening every tool. Here, I am working with one of our athletes on his boxing, focusing on head movement and counter-punching combinations to get him fight-ready.

Developing power and technique on the heavy bag. Our young student is practicing his boxing combinations, learning to generate force from the ground up and maintain his form while striking.

Consistency is key. This young athlete is shown working the heavy bag and then transitioning to a rope climb, demonstrating the mix of skill work and strength conditioning we instill in our youth program.

About Striking Technique: Pad & Bag Work

Before you worry about power, we fix your stance. Most beginners in our classes stand too square or drop their hands after a simple jab. During pad work, you will feel the difference as we correct your shoulder rotation and foot placement, ensuring you generate force from your core rather than just swinging your arms.
